Video: Tim Tindle And Tori Cagle’s Devastating Crash In Alabama

Regardless of the speed at which point contact occurs, an incident involving both cars in a drag race rarely has anything less than disastrous results. And this point was further exemplified recently at the Holiday Raceway in Woodstock, Alabama, during qualifying for their All Out Pro Mod Shootout special event.

Tim Tindle, a former winner on the NHRA Pro Modified trail, in his Tindle Enterprises supercharged 1967 Mustang in the right lane, lost control of his beautiful race car about two seconds into the run and made a hard left turn across the centerline, making contact with the nitrous-fed ’68 Camaro of Tori Cagle. The impact sent the charging Camaro of Cagle onto it’s roof, with the sheer speed taking it end-over-end numerous times. along it’s path, Cagle’s machine actually collected and destroyed the right lane scoreboard.

The cause of the incident has been a hotly debated topic on the internet, but eyewitness accounts say this was simply a racing accident, meaning any negative judgement is best reserved for those involved. Causes aside, the most important point to be made is that both of these racers escaped injury from a type of incident that could have – and has – had far worse implications, and both have indicated that they will be back.
