Video: Won & Done Teaser Clip Features Import Versus Domestic

A couple of weeks ago, we introduced you to the latest drag racing-themed television show to go into production, known as Won & Done, that’s hosted by the former face of PINKS and PINKS: All Out, Rich Christensen. In this latest show in which reality television meets on-track competition, racers go head-to-head for cash and the opportunity to advance in a winner-take-all drag race. Filmed at southern California’s Irwindale Dragstrip, the show will air on MAVTV [1].

[2]Like was done on PINKS, negotiations are done before the contest between the competitors and their teams to set up the race. In the end, the winner stays alive, and the loser has his or her cars’ VIN number tagged and it can never compete on the show again. The racer who advances has the opportunity to return to race another day, and if that racer can win ten in a row, they’ll earn a lofty $50,000 prize.

MAVTV on Friday released a new nine-minute teaser clip of Won & Done that features Michael Lara and his turbocharged ’88 Honda Civic CRX SI and Thomas Campos and his nitrous-aided big block ’67 Camaro SS in the “Race of the Month”. The two combatants are given a ten-minute period in which to negotiate for the starting method (christmas tree, arm drop, and even a starting gun), lengths, the jump, and virtually anything else you could settle on a drag race. From there, it’s a good old-fashioned race. One gets $500 in cash, and the other is relegated test-n-tune…unless of course, they have another car to bring on to the show. We won’t spoil the the race for those of you curious to watch it unfold, but we will say it’s a solid match between a couple of quick cars.

Won & Done is headed to the airwaves of MAVTV, a cable network owned and operated by Forrest Lucas the the team at Lucas Oil, on Thursday evenings beginning this April.
