All to often we are bringing you the stories of drag racers going through the unfortunate incidents surrounding an on track crashes. While many rebuild and return to the track, they are often overlooked without knowing the story behind the rebuild. Yet with all the bad horror stories that hit the web from chassis shops that don’t deliver a good product, it is nice that we can bring you a good outcome once in a while. Vince DiRose is one of those guys who has went from the bad to the good and recently took delivery of a new 1955 Chevy pro mod.

Check out the thread [2] Vince started on Yellowbullet to show off his new ride.

[3]Vince formerly campaigned a 1957 Chevy that was known as “Black Ice [4]” and unfortunately was destroyed in a fiery crash at Capitol Raceway last July. DiRose’s story touched the racing community and with a large amount of support from friends and family, he was on the way to getting back on track.

DiRose picked Xtreme Outlaw Chassis Works in Germansville, Pa. to take on the new build. They created him a sinister looking ’55 Chevy-bodied pro mod that will feature a blown and injected big block that was much like his “Black Ice” ’57.

With the new lightweight chassis incorporated with all the best go-fast parts, DiRose should be on track by next spring and looks to be a top runner in the field. We look forward to seeing Vince back in action. Be sure to check out all the photos of the build on Xtreme Outlaw’s Facebook page [5].
