Deep in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas lies one of the most recognizable racers that we have seen in some time. Most wouldn’t know the name but the business speaks for itself. Wolfe Racecraft has become one of the most notable suppliers for suspension parts, roll cages and the such for a wide variety of cars. David Wolfe is the man behind the scenes at Wolfe Racecraft and it is the drive to build cutting edge products that make him such a threat when he decides to head out on the drag radial scene. You may ask, when he decides? David is not one to be seen at a lot of races but you can rest assured that when he does there is going to be a flourish of talk as to what he will do next.

Two years ago, just before the Shakedown at E-town, Wolfe made the trek cross country for a little pre-race testing. It was then that Wolfe lowered the bar that had been previously set by Alex Vrettos of 7.38. Wolfe blasted to a 7.31 second run after nearly a two year hiatus which proves why he is such a threat. Following up with a even faster 7.21@201mph just days later at the Shakedown it would be a battle with eventual winner Dave Hinzman to see who would be the fastest on the planet.
Fast forward another year and a half and David has hit the road from Texas to Georgia in anticipation of one of the biggest races ever in outlaw drag radial history. The $20,000 to win race will bring out all the heavy artillery and Wolfe has his gun locked and loaded with a new bullet. The big block based bullet has a set of Sonny’s heads sitting atop with a trick dual injector setup. Pumping methanol through the engine with the dual injectors will provide an even balance of fuel during peak boost situations. Look out the for the yellowish orange fox body in Georgia becasue a little birdie has told us that Wolfe and company are on the road and looking to do some early testing in preparation for this weekend’s race.
