Project "Biting the Bullitt" is a 1000HP 1965 Mustang that is a mix of all-out horsepower, simplicity and reliability in a street/strip package. But where do you draw the line?
When you think of MaxStreet, think of the Ultimate Muscle Car. We're looking to build the ultimate Friday night bruiser here with our 1966 Nova. Fully street worthy, can turn corners and run 10s on the track, and be the talk of the burger joint. Oh yea, pump gas, overdrive transmission, and over 900 hp.
The goal of Project Grandpa will be to take the ultimate unsuspecting car, a Caprice Classic Station Wagon, and turn it into a multi-use vehicle that is capable of doing almost anything. Having an automatic, 600+ horsepower, and boasting pump gas are all things that Grandpa would want! So, we are going to stick with this guideline to conjure up some basic rules. We want to take it to the strip and run 11s and be able to crank it around an autocross track, but Grandpa must also be able to live on the street. We don’t think they make trailers this big anyways.
The Chevy Nova has always been labeled as a car that couldn't handle, had small tires, and moderate power. Project Swinger is the exact opposite. This build features a Ridetech Air Suspension, GM Performance Parts LSA Crate Engine (Supercharged baby!), a Keisler/Tremec TKO-600, and plenty of Classic Industries components to make it look brand new again. Follow along as we take this rusted out X-Body to a killer multi-purpose vehicle.
This '86 Mustang Coupe - Project 666 - is being built as a street/strip drag brawler capable of 666 rear wheel horsepower. Low 10-second time slips should be no problem for this stripper no-option Four-eyed Fox body. This Mustang is a drag car satan himself would row gears in, thanks to the Tremec TKO-600, and nasty Windsor stroker engine.
Project Grandma is a 1978 Chevrolet Malibu that was originally purchased by an elderly grandma in Pasadena. Now, it's far from it's original state as a full-on drag radial stock-suspension car. With a stock-body 25.5 chassis, 295/60/15 Drag Radials, a TCI Pro-X Glide, and a monster Big Block, this is one of the most complete G-Body builds that you'll ever see.
When your F-Body is stuffed with 454 cubic inches of Warhawk LS-power, you need to give it a trick name like Project All-Air. This build of 2000 Camaro features a Wolfe Racecraft 10-pt roll cage, ATF Speed Powerglide, World 810 hp naturally aspirated engine, and BMR suspension. Follow along as we construct this 9-second warrior.
