SELECT COVERAGE BY DAY:
- PTC Radial vs the World is why we are here in February and the performances were nothing short of astonishing with David Wolfe leading qualifying with a 4.35. Number two qualifier Eric Dillard put up a 4.56, a 4.47 and then a 4.404 @ 187 in a great race with Paul Major in round three. Major was on point with a career best 4.440 @ 177. A .001 tree and 4.48 @ 188 defeated Carlton Thompson who slowed to a 7.27. Dillard met with the super consistant Scotty Gaudagno in the final out running hi with a 4.41 @ 185 to Scotty's best game 4.511 @ 172.
- Gaudagno tested the track in a round one bye as Shane Stack was out from a lost driveshaft in final qualifying. A nice 4.53 advanced over Ruben T. who shut it down after breaking an anti roll bar. Round three was nitrous vs turbo with Gaudagno outrunning Vrettos game 4.65 @168. He met with Brad Bonnette in the semis who put up his best 4.57 @ 170 to no avail with Scotty laying down another 4.51.
- Greathouse was the number two car in class running a best of 4.76 @ 156 on a single in round three.
- Kevin Neal qualified fifth in VP Race Fuels Outlaw 275 with his Lebanon Ohio based 87 Mustang. Neal had fairley easy rounds untill he met with Dewayne Shultz's turbocharged Trans Am. Neal's 4.82 @ 151 was a good run for the hardcharging Shultz best effort 4.82 @ 161 MPH blast. Flippen fell to a 4.86 @ 150 in the semis and Joel Greathouse slowed to a 6.02 with both cars carrying the wheels in an exciting final round.
- TRZ Motorsports X275 had the largest field with over 50 cars on the grounds with more than one racer double entered in other classes. Top qualifier Justin Smith drove his car in Outlaw 275 with Bobby Flippen driving in Outlaw 275. Smith ran a string of 4.90's in eliminations with a best of a 4.90 @ 145 to defeat Chris Evans' game 4.98 @ 142. Bob Kurgan's 5.07 @ 142 wasn't enough to stay ahead of Smith's 4.92 @ 144. Smith ran a 4.89 @ 145 to defeat Pete Harrel.
- TCI Outlaw Radial had a 24 car field with Steve Jackson leading the field. He improved every round from a 4.50 to a 4.43 in round three to get by Chad Henderson's .040 tree and 4.66 @ 155. He had a single and took the tree and backed out in the semi and ripped off a .40 flat @ 179 for the win over Dave Hinzman
- Hinzman had his car running well as he also was improving through the rounds meeting with Chris Tedeschi in the semis. 4.55 to Tedeschi's personal best 4.59 @ 168. The number two qualifier left on Jackson running a game 4.51 @ 163 in the all Procharger final round.
- Carneyville Kentuckey racer Adam Preston took down top qualifier in round two with a 5.33 @ 130 to Kirk Hatley's 5.37 @ 133. Kirk was driving Eric Kenward's Malibu wagon and congrats are in order to the Kenwards on the birth of their new child. Preston and Bart Tobener both had their best runs in eliminations 5.25 @ 132 for Preston and 5.29 @ 133 for Tobener.
- Number three qualifier Gerime Rooks took home the Billet Atomizer Injectors Ultimate Street trophy Sunday advancing over Aaron Yates an absent Brian McQueen then put an .5.22 @ 136 to drive around Matt Davis in the semis. Preston slowed to a 5.39 in the final allowing Rooks to get around him.
- Holley No Boost winner Chad Henderson met with Francis Johnson in the final after defeating Jason Richards and Rickey Fox. Johnson put together a pait of 4.66's to get through Dave Boger and Ron Hamby. Top qualifier Brian Mchee fell off pace after a 4.54 @ 170 on his earned single. Henderson put up a .65 @ 155 to get around Johnson. Monte Smith made the announcement this weekend that there will be a No Boost class at future events.

- Jason Wade rana 4.78 @ 160 with his Texas based Falcon over Tim Kincaid's 93 Mustang's 4.89 @ 158.
- 4.53 @ 184 for Dillard on a single with Buck Walker not making the call.
- a 4.92 @ 154 for McMillen has tounges wagging about his exceptionally high MPH.
- J.R. Gibson was dead late and wheelied out in a hard loss to Marty Stinnett who only ran a 6.11.
- Alex Vettros had a nice 4.69 @ 170 to take out Jason Etheridge's 01 Mustang.
- Steve Jackson ran a 4.50 @ 178 on a opponent broke single over DJ Loicano.
- The upset of the day was Don Burton getting the win over top qualifier David Wolfe. Wolfe spun early and Burton put up his only good run so far on the new combo, a 4.95 @ 154.
- Mike Modeste lost traction early and did a great job of keeping the car in his lane and off the wall afterwards.
- Kevin Fiscus had low ET for this round in his win over Jerry Conner. 4.53 @ 185.
- Kirk Hatley is driving Eric Kenward Wagon this weekend, he made it through round one with a 5.29 @ 134.
- Russel McManious qualified in eighth with a 5.02 and took the win over Bubba Harris.
- Jason Lee carried a wheelie way out in his win over Regan.
- Brad Edwards moved up as well landing fifth with a 4.59 @ 168 MPH.
- Brad Edwards is sporting a new car this weekend. It's a 25.2 build by Team Z Motorsports with the same engine from the previous car.
- Tony Ridenour was warming up the car this morning and will be running Outlaw Radial today ater running a personal best 4.54 last night.
- Who could have guessed this is the gear set out of David Wolfe's car after his number one qualifier 4.35 @ 188 last night. A new ring and pinion and third member was installed last night.
- Yes thats right Carrot Top won the Fat Guys Rule Big Wheel race again.
- David Wolfe stepped it up big time in the final session with a 4.35 @ 188 right behind Eric Dillarrd's 4.41 @ 189.79 run. Tony Ridenour made some test hits in class with a best of 4.52 @ 167 but will be running Outlaw Radial only tomorrow.
- Terry Elam and Jeff Kyle traded the top spot back and forth today with Elam winding up with it at the end of the last session. Joel Greathouse stepped up to second with a 4.76 @ 156.
- Justin Smith took top honers with a nitrous small block in X 275 with a 4.88 @ 144.
- Hinzman ripped off a 4.49 @ 166 for second spot making him the second Procharged car in the .40's
- Stevie Fast struggled with traction on several runs but put enough together to top the field of Outlaw Radial with a 4.45 @ 169.
- Kirk Hatley is behing the wheel of Eric Kenwards wagon this weekend, Eric was a late arrival due the arrival of a new baby for his family on Thursday. Congrats my friend on the new addition and top qualifier. Gerime Rooks improved from eight to third with a 5.24 @ 135.
- They are flying in No Boost for the final session with McHee running 4.57 @ 163, Henderson putting up a 4.67 @ 155 and Fox improving to a 4.70 bumping Hamby to fourth. Francis Johnson finally put together a decent run with a 4.73.
- Vrettros kicked the tires on his run. The track has been tricky for many racers in this class in with the sun beraing down on the track.
- Scotty Gaudagno had low ET for this round with a 4.56.
- Don Long and Joe Rivera from Pro Torque trackside. Joe is having a great wekend so far with several of the top qualifiers running his converters.
- Ridenour was just behind with a 4.55, he has been running well this weekend.
- Spectators are lining the fence here today with more expected tomorrow with the great weather we are having here in South Georgia.
- Joel Greathouse had big improvement jumoing to third in this session after a sweet 4.81 @ 156. Dewayle Shultz has top MPH with a whopping 158.24.
- Jeff Kyle moved up to number one with a nice 4.78 @ 153 ahead of Elam.
- Puddin laid down a nice 4.61 @ 161 improving two spots to eighth,
- Brad Edwards moved up as well landing fifth with a 4.59 @ 168 MPH.
- Steve Jackson jumped all the way to number one in Outlaw Radial with a 5.45 2 169 bumping Kolivas to second. Hinzman improved as well moving to third with a 4.54 @ 164 just ahead of Goodtimer Tony Ridenour's new personal best 4.55 @ 167.
- Henderson is flying this weekend running a 4.66 @ 155 for seventh position this round and is the fastest nitrous car in the field at this time.
- There were no major changes to the field in Ultimate Street this round. hawkins is still number one with last night 5.22 @ 137.
- Jason Black improved to fourth spot with a clean 4.74 @ 161 knocing Henderson back with his .75 flat @ 153. Richards also improved to a 4.77 moving up one spot to sixth.
- Brian McHee is still on top in No Boost improving today to a 4.66 @ 160.
- Jerry Gunter makes the switch to radials this morning with the "if you can't beat em, join em" mentality.

- Issac Peterson had his fair share of difficulties so far with a set of broken planetaries while testing Wednesday. They had a replacement transmission delivered yesterday and qualified with a 5.31 @ 133 but fell to fifth after the second session.
- We started with 7.50 this morning then go into 6.50, Open Comp, 5.70 and 5.30.
- Justin Smith is siting on top of Xtreme 275 with his 2001 434 ci Camaro on the bottle with a 4.88 @ 144 MPH.
- David Wolfe had an oil line fail on his last run of the day. There was no damage besides the AN hose end and some down time for track cleanup.
- David Hill put the TRZ Sponsored Mustang in ninth spot in X275 with a nice 5.03 @ 141 MPH.
- Dewayne Mills ran a 4.53 @ 165 earning sixth spot in the field or Radial vs the World.
- The damage doesn't seem to bad and he is allright.
- Tim Johnson just picked up his car fram AC Carcraft after some winter upgrades and swap to twins. His first pass looked good but lifted the front down track and he wound up nosing the car into the wall.
- Wolfe ran later in the session and laid down a 4.38 @ 179 to take the top spot from Dillard. Fiscus shut down early on his run.
- Sean Lyon put up a 4.96 @ 148 for top qualifier in his turbocharged Fox Stang.
- Bob Kurgan got the front up high in his first round qualifier landing in 40th with a 6.80.
- John Kolivas is back for 2011 with his twin turbo setup. He took the number one position with a clean 4.52 @ 175.
- Amanda long put another 4.68 @ 160 for the second spot in Outlaw Radial.
- Neil Hawkins ran a 5.28 for top qualifier in Ultimate Street.
- Brian McHee took top honors in the first session of Holley No Boost with a 4.67 @ 162. Eight cars made it into the 4's with Angelo Graham running a 4.87 @ 144.
- Rickey Fox put down a 4.72 @ 156 for second position.
- Brian McHee took top qualifier in round one with a nice 4.67 @ 162.
- Francis Johnson made some changes and repairs to his record setting Firebird in the off season. The rear housing was twisted badly and repaired and the factory front control arm mounts were found to have pushed upward into the car. They were fixed and boxed in with added cage support to try and prevent this happening again. They also relocated the springs back onto the shocks to more easily allow adjustments to the ride height. Once the car is dialed back in the new engine will go in which will have more power and better parts inside.
- Jeff Cooner is here with his Pressurized Solutions Mustang. Yes he bolted on a pair of drag radials too.
- Steve Jackson had a stuck injector and they were fixing that all up earlier.
- The Pirez crew is here with two cars, Sr. in No Boost and Jr. in X275
- Buck Walkers car is fresh out of Dan Neumann's shop for repairs and upgrades. They didn't make and killler runs yet but have no issues either.
- This 75 Duster belongs to Melvin Pheifer from Biloxi Mississippi is here running 5.70 index with a naturally aspirated 439 cubic inch small block Mopar built by Ryan Johnson.
- A 4.92 @ 154 for McMillen has tounges wagging about his exceptionally high MPH.
- Well the order of the morning is rain here at SGMP. We have some showers around the area and we will keep you updated on when we will be running cars. The big news to far is Kevis Fiscus' 4.33 @ 180 pass setting a new record for Drag Radial. Wolfe is close behind with a 4.38 and is installing some coil over shocks this morning to try and control tire shake issues he is having down track.
- Stevie Fast would the first procharged carin the .40's this afternoon with a 4.48.
- Rick Wetherby was tearing the head of his car as well to repair a blown head gasket. This is another OL 10.5 car on TT5's for the first time and with a new engine combo, a 572 BBC with twin Pro Mod 91MM turbos.
- Gotta thank Brandon and crew for the awesome food.
- Brandon Dominy runs Outlaw 10.5 out of Texas with this Mustang with a Ford Hemi on nitrous. They were pulling the engine to check for a blown head gasket on the drivers side.
- Scotty G ripped off a 4.51 @ 172.66 MPH blast today and now holds the TT5 record, improving from the previous 4.53 record by Eric Dillard.
- DeWayne Mills hails from Oklahoma and his Camaro runs a Stan Williams 600 cubic inch big block Chevy with an F3-R 139 Procharger. Their best time today was a 4.61. The current rules here allow this combo to be 3200 pounds but this all steel ride weighs in at 3300 with driver. They are running the Radial vs the World class and is yet another car testing out radials today.
- Rich Bruder are from Eddison New Jersey and run X275 up north at MIR, Cecil and Atco. This is their first trip down south but had no luck getting down the track today. The SBF 400 is topped with Victor heads done by Dave Jack and force fed by an F1-R Prochgarger with chassis work by Crazy Don.
- Team Corrupt was making a gear change in Vettros' Mustang, swapping to a 3.57 for the short track as the car had been geared for 1/4 mile.
- A nice 4.80 @ 150 for Chad henderson is his best to date on two systems. Here tuner and engine builder Monte Smith lines him up straight.
- Kevin Fiscus' timeslip.
- Daniel Pharris lost a trans cooler line earlier today and spent the rest of it flushing the lines, tearing the trans apart and cleaning it out and repairing the broken line. After all that he got pushed back on the line on his final attempt of the day.
- Steve Hopkins and crew were thrashing hard core to get here and Steve is sleep deprived. When changing the tune up earlier he n=made a mistake in setting the timing in the MSD resulting in not enough pulled out and a host of burnt plugs. A compression test was run on all cylinders showing reduced cranking compression. They will run it anyway if they feel it's isnt hurt to badly.
- David Wolke's 4.38 ET slip.
- This is a photo of Wolfes race pak log, clearly showing tire shake and where he pedaled the car and a loss of boost and acceleration.
- Jason Lee is down south for a three race swing starting this weekend. next for him is the NMRA, then NMCA at Bradenton. He ran a 4.93, then a 4.94 today and is happy with that performance.
- Just a quick update before I head to the pits. David Wolfe bettered Fiscus' ET with a 4.38 @ 180.
- Certainly not to be outdone Fiscus laid down a, get ready for this, 4.33 @ 180. Really folks this is just gettung nuts. A big should out to Pro Torque Converters as both Wolfe and Fiscus are running Joe's equipment this weekend.
- Chad Opaleski is back with his 66 Chevelle in the No Boost class sporting a fresh paint job. He drove left and had to lift after getting out of the groove.
- Steve Morris made the trip out sporting a fresh woo grain wrap after brushing the wall at Orlando last October. He spun the tires on his first hit of the day.
- Alex Vettros ran a 4.64 today in his own car, and is also driving Paul Majors Corvette at least for today.
- Ladies and gentleman the race to be the first radial car in the 4.30's is over and congrats are in order for Kevin Fiscus and Proline Racing. Kevin unleashed the pass just a few minuites ago running a 4.397 @ 179.28.
- Andy manson hails from Virginia and ran localy at Budds Creek and MIR last year. This is there first trip to SGMP.
- Brad Bonnette owns this sweet Mustang. It's got a 610 cubic inch engine with twin GT47 88's. The BTR Racing car has been 4.59 and also is on radials for the first time here today.
- This 68 Ford Falcon belongs to Jason Wade who normally run TT5 out of Texas. He bolted on some radials for the first time today for this event. The car has twin 91 MM turbos for the power adder.
- Eric Dillard is on radials again for this event and put up a 4.74, right behind him was Tony Ridenour matching the ET but had to pedal the car to keep the front down. And ye he is running the imfamous "Pecker extender".
- Tommy Brewer and Brady McNew are here as well sporting frash paint and back to rocking the Procharged combo after running a high helix blower engine here last year.
- Wehaven't herd much from Steve jackson and the Killin Time Racing crew during the off season but he is here today and sporting zoomies. He was one of those having trouble hooking when I got here earlier.
- Scotty Gaudagno made a short pass in his nitrous sniffing OL10.5 Camaro running in the 4.70's @ 130.
- Wes Wittle is back driving October's winning X 275 car, he ran a 5.00 so far today.
- Paul Major also made the trip down to represent Team North but has yet to make a hit today.
- Team Corrupt's Alex Vettros made one soft pass earlier today resulting in a 4.63 @ 165. They were gassing up and prepping for the next pass when I stopped by.
- David Wolfe hurt the transmission yesterday made repairs overnight and made one pass this morning with a new converter from Pro Torque. His lone pass today was a 4.46 whih he is happy with given a new converter combo which often changes how you can bring in the power. He is in the lanes now for another try.
- VP's own Jason Rueckert is on hand here again to oversee track preparation, behind him is Steve Petty, the master tuner from Proline Racing.
