- This is the first race weekend on radials for Eric Dillard and with only nine passes with them he is solidly in the 4.40's and qualified second in class with a new personal best 4.48. The Proline team gets lots of data from other cars and know the tire is faster under the right conditions and didn't want to come here at a disadvantage. They are also sporting new Pro Mod 94 mm turbos here this weekend which came just in time for this race. The set up on the car is quite different than when running the slick tires with a shorter 4 link setting as well as tighter suspension settings and Eric feels with 10 or 15 more runs they can run a .35-.39. Eric feels that at the end of the day they can get into the low .40s and if they make the final with Wolfe that they will make a match of it.

Thankfully Carlton was a bit off pace and paying attention or this could have got ugly fast. He broke a control arm after tapping the wall and hopes to have it fixed for tomorrow. Check the gallery for the full sequence.

- Icaught up with Sam Vincent and crew in the lanes. He has yet to run today.
- Jeff Reed was busy changing tires after his first pass which was a 4.98. It's a reduced twin turbo set up with a small block Ford and Brodix heads.Reed is part of the Kolivas Racing camp and driving this weekend for the owner of holly Springs Dragway in FTI X275. Other X275 news has Jason Lee running a 4.81 and Kolivas himself says he's gonna run a 4.75 provided it goes down on todays tricky surface and he's waiting for someone else to man uo $1,000 for low ET..
