HISTORY MADE UNDER THE LIGHTS AT SCSN ANARCHY AT THE ARCH
A titanic back-and-forth battle for all the all-time Pro Modified world records between Frankie “The Madman” Taylor and Q80 Racing’s Turky Al Zafiri headlined a historic inaugural Street Car Super Nationals Anarchy At The Arch at the Gateway Motorsports Park near St. Louis over the weekend.

Pro Extreme star and eighth-mile world record holder Frankie Taylor and Kuwait native Turky Al Zafiri waged an epic battle for the world records in Outlaw Pro Mod at the Street Car Super Nationals Anarchy At The Arch near St. Louis over the weekend, culminating in an epic final round matchup under the lights. There, the duo reeled off the quickest and fastest side-by-side doorslamme drag race in history, as Al Zafiri reset his own world record with a 5.46 at 272.50 MPH to Taylors’ career-best pass of 5.47. In Pro Mod, Jim Bell marched from the last spot in qualifying to victory, ousting to qualifier Kevin Fiscus in the final round. In Outlaw 10.5, Scott Lowery singled to victory when his opponent, Kayla Morton, was unable to make the call, while Krusty Ramsey, who was absolutely dominant in Outlaw 8.5, uncorked another four-second run in the final to collect the hardware. Other heads-up winners included Justin Martin (XDR/TT5) and Lamar Swindoll (Wild Street).

Josh Green charged to victory in Pro Mod at the NMCA’s penultimate stop on the calendar at the Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, running 5.97 in the final to top a red-lighting Steve Summers. DeWayne Mills collected another Wally trophy in the Radial Wars category in his twin-turbo Camaro, posting a 4.26 in the money round to opponent Jason Rueckert’s 4.34. After clicking off a record 6.94 in qualifying, Andy Manson also charged to victory over Dwayne Barbaree, while David Hutnick dominated Xtreme Street once again with a 7.83 in the final to down Dan Baumann.

Mia Tedesco collected her first career NHRA Lucas Oil Series Regional victory in Top Alcohol Dragster at the North Central Division season finale at the Beech Bend Raceway Park in Kentucky, running a 5.32 in the final to defeat many-time Division 3 winner Marty Thacker. In Top Alcohol Funny Car, Steve Harker picked up his 18th career victory, adding a 5.63 to a string of 5.60’s during the weekend to handle opponent Rob Pfeister. And in Competition Eliminator, Drew Skillman lit the red bulb, handing the win over to Van Puckett.

Championship contender Chris Demke downed Randy Meyer in the Top Alcohol Dragster final round, 5.33 to 5.38 at the NHRA West Central Division Lucas Oil Series event at the Heartland Park Topeka in Kansas to lead the long list of winners. He was joined by Top Alcohol Funny Car champ Dale Brand (who bested John Lombardo Jr. on a holeshot in the final) and Competition Eliminator winner Todd Patterson.
