Monday Morning Race Report on Tuesday – YB Nats, NMRA, and The Big G

LYNCH, KOLIVAS HEAD UP WINNERS AT FIRST YELLOW BULLET NATIONALS

Tim Lynch virtually dominated the headliner Outlaw 10.5 category at the inaugural YellowBullet.com Nationals at Cecil County Dragway in Maryland, qualifying in the top spot and riding that momentum to the winners circle. YB Nats: Same Day Event Coverage on DRAGZINE. Tim Lynch virtually dominated the headliner Outlaw 10.5 category at the inaugural YellowBullet.com Nationals at Cecil County Dragway in Maryland, qualifying in the top spot and riding that momentum to the winners circle with a win “Smokin Joe” Schroeder in the money round. John Kolivas returned to action with a win in Drag Radial, defeating Buddy Tippett, while Chris Evans – who had a bounty on him this weekend – grabbed the 275 radial crown over challenger Don Barnett.

NMRA: Same Day Event Coverage on Stang TV. The championship battles in the NMRA are coming down to the wire, as the series rolled into National Trail Raceway in Columbus for the next to last stop of the season. Jim Brown captured an upset win in Pro Outlaw 10.5, besting perennial favorite Conrad Scarry, while Phil Hines and Sam Vincent squared off in the Street Outlaw final, with Hines getting the best of the favored Vincent, 7.82 to 8.10. Bob Cook was the victor in EFI Renegade, and Jason Lee continued his stranglehold on Drag Radial, defeating Enzo Pecchini. 

NHRA: Event recap here on DRAGZINE. Labor Day weekend signifies the annual running of the sport’s most illustrious race, the Mac tools U.S. Natonals in Indianapolis, now in it’s 56th edition. Larry Dixon unseated Tony Schumacher from his Top Fuel reign at Indy, winning his 10th straight final round appearance in 2010 with a rout of Cory McClenathan. Ashley Force Hood defeated her father to win Funny Car for the second straight eyar, Greg Stanfield upset reigning champ Mike Edwards, and LE Tonglet surprised everyone with a huge win over Andrew Hines.
