It is the moment many have been waiting for all year as one of the largest heads up races of the year gets underway at Englishtown. Pete Berner took on John Puluchino in teh finals and ran his car to another 6.2x pass for the win. He stopped the clocks at 6.28 @ 224 to Johns 7.11 @ 146.
Chip King faced Plummer in teh Pro Mod final. Both cars had issues right at the hit shakign the tires bad. But chip was able to pedal his car a bit further for the win with a 8.13 @ 123.
Tim Lynch faced Joe Newsham in the finals with both cars going into it with previous runs of 6.47's. Tim was able to lay down the power and ran a 6.30 @ 226 to Newshams 7.51 @ 145 for the win.
Mike Stawicki faced John Stnaley in the final of the Pro Extreme 1/8th mile class. Stawicki got the hole shot on stanley and charged to a 3.89 @ 197 over stanleys 6.46 pass for thw win.
Mel Nelson ran an uncontested pass in the drag radial class when John Carter didnt make the call. He still ran the car out the back for a solid 6.85 @ 223 run.
Khalid Al Balooshi paired up with Todd Fontana in the finals of the Nitrous Pro Mod category. Though getting teh hole shot over Balooshi, Fontana couldnt hold off the hard charging camaro. Balooshi ran a 5.93 @ 241 to better Fontans 6.58 @ for the win.
Sam Gottier faced Mitch George's Monte carlo in the finals. The chevelle was hard to beat this weekend runnign a string of 6.9x passes. And he continued on with that to the finals for the win with a 6.91 @ 198 to Georges 7.57 @ 141.
