FuelTech Releases Update 3.3 For FT500, FT500LITE, and FT600 ECUs

Ask any racer who has made the conversion to fuel injection as their fuel system of choice what their favorite features are, and you’ll hear the majority of them mention control and functionality. With their new Update 3.3 for the FT500, FT500LITE, and FT600, FuelTech is giving racers, even more, control and functionality to use at the track. Now, racers will have the ability to use a multitude of functions that will expand what their FuelTech ECU is capable of that were never an option before.

To assist in packing more punch into the FT500, FT500LITE, and FT600 FuelTech has added a time based electronic control function to the latest update. Now, users can have time-based maximum throttle control when a two or three step launch function is used. This allows for a definable progressive position of the throttle as the vehicle launches. FT SwitchPanel CAN compatibility was another big addition to this latest update by FuelTech. This lets racers use the FT SwitchPanel-8 through a CAN as a way to activate different functions via its buttons.

The data logging channels also received some attention from FuelTech as part of this upgrade. Functions like Average EFT, clutch/torque converter slip rate, shock absorber speed, and more are all now available to be monitored by the ECU. Additional predefined sensors that include oil pressure, torque converter pressure, flex fuel sensor, and several others have also been sprinkled into this new update. The ability to switch between different maps via an external setup are also included in this update, so racers can make adjustments on the fly while in the lanes to the tune of their choice.

Make sure you check out this full video from FuelTech that explains all the different functions of the new Uptdate 3.3.
