Cory Mac Wins Inaugural Nitro Outlaw Racing Association Event

Cory McClenathan got the win at the inaugural NODRA race at Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, AZ. McClenathan defeated Jack Wyatt with a 4.08 at 301 mph. to 6.72 at 114 mph.

It was a Top Fuel vs Funny Car final where McClenathan left on Wyatt and never trailed in the race. “This was a great win for the crew and Dexter Tuttle,” Cory Mac said. “To win the inaugural NODRA race in a Top Fuel vs. Funny Car final was pretty cool.”

McClenathan ran a 4.10 at 303 mph. to defeat Bill Litton’s tire shaking run in the semifinals. Jack Wyatt beat Todd Simpson in a pedal fest in the semifinals.

The next race on the NODRA tour will be at the Texas Motorplex in Ennis, TX on April 28.

The Nitro Outlaw Drag Racing Association is a new organization that is owned by racers for racers. NODRA is a “safety first” organization with common sense rules and regulations. NODRA is an invitation only series. Top Fuel and Funny Cars will race 1000 ft in a Chicago style format. In 2018 the NODRA will run at 4 events in conjunction with the NHRDA.
