Outlaw Armageddon 4 Gets Exciting New Classes And Bigger Purses

Outlaw Armageddon has been setting the standard for big No-Prep races since its first edition in 2015. Now in its fourth year, Outlaw Armageddon is listening to the fans once again and changing the race format to match what they want to see. Bigger payouts and factory-produced cars will headline two of the big classes at Outlaw Armageddon 4, so fans will be treated to some of the best racing they’ve ever seen at this event.

With the ever-changing landscape of No-Prep racing, the team at Thunder Valley Raceway Park decided to make some tweaks to a pair of the biggest classes at Outlaw Armageddon. Since Outlaw Armageddon attracts the biggest names in No-Prep racing from all corners of the country, it made sense to give more racers a chance to participate in the big payout classes.

Nick Duty from Thunder Valley Raceway Park has been a part of Outlaw Armageddon since the beginning and explains what these new classes are all about.

“We have really tried to listen to the fans after each event to make the next one better. For Outlaw Armageddon: The Fourth Assault, we are changing the $50,000-to-win Quick Performance Invitational to the “Real Steel O.G.’s Quick Performance Invitational. We are going to pack this class with 32 of the fastest cars that have VIN tags and are factory-produced hot rods. You’re going to see some of the fastest street and No-Prep racers mixing it up in this class for $50,000 — it’s going to be awesome.”

Not every racer has a car that can fit the rules for the Real Steel O.G.’s Quick Performance Invitational, so the leadership team of Outlaw Armageddon had decided to address the need for 2018. With the introduction of the Quick Performance Big Tire Unlimited class, racers can get in on the action of Outlaw Armageddon with a more relaxed set of rules and run for some big money.

“We have changed the rules of this class to reflect more of a ‘Run Whatcha Brung’ style, so pretty much anything with doors can compete in this class. You’re going to see some of the most insane doorslammers competing on No-Prep surface so the racing is going to be wild. We also increased the payout from $25,000 to $40,000 for this year so we’re expecting some great racing for the big purse,” Duty says.

Outlaw Armageddon: The Fourth Assault is coming and it’s bringing the best No Prep racing to Thunder Valley Raceway Park August 9-11.
