We spoke with Robbie Ward at MagnaFuel. Since 1995, MagnaFuel has designed and manufactured premium, long-lasting, durable, high-performance fuel systems. Their products continue to be developed in close association with professional racers. When Kurt Johnson became the first NHRA driver to enter the six-second club, he did it with a MagnaFuel Racing Fuel System. As a matter of fact, a MagnaFuel Fuel System was onboard for every 200 mph pass that Warren and Kurt Johnson ever made. Now, MagnaFuel Racing Fuel Systems are installed on everything from speedboats to hill-climb trucks.
Robbie told us about a new larger electric fuel pump, the ProStar 1000, which MagnaFuel is introducing. Robbie said, “It will make 3000hp on gas. It’s the biggest bad boy electric fuel pump out there.” Their original pump supported up to 1500 HP, so this is a big step up. It will provide the highest volume at the highest pressure of any pump on the market. It offers great performance for the high volume and pressure demands of supercharged and turbo-charged applications. It weighs less than 7 lbs. and includes #10 AN inlets and outlets. The pump bodies are computer machined out of high quality 6061-T6 Billet aluminum. All MagnaFuel pumps are totally re-buildable to “As New” factory specifications.
MagnaFuel produces a full line of fuel systems including pumps, regulators, filters, fittings, anti-revision plates, wiring kits, y-fittings, and kits for both carbureted and fuel injected models.
