The NMCA started at Memphis International Raceway over 30 years ago when it began hosting various street car events. Everything comes full circle as the NMCA makes its return to Memphis May 2-5 for the Inaugural NMCA Memphis Homecoming. Every round of racing will be coming at you live RIGHT HERE on SpeedVideo from the Music City.
Having such a rich history in racing makes Memphis International Raceway such a special place for the NMCA. The series will bring its full roster of classes for action at the iconic venue for the Memphis Homecoming event. Doorslammer racing fans will be in for an outstanding show when racing begins at the Memphis Homecoming.
The 2019 Chevrolet Performance Challenge Series will be on the property at the Memphis Homecoming as the 13th Annual LSX Shootout will be a part of the event. Racers in Chevrolet Performance Stock, LME Street King, and Proform Rumble will be working on earning points in the series at Memphis. The Real Street Shootout will also be a part of the LSX Shootout and that will feature the fastest LS-powered Xtreme Street class cars at the event.
If you love classic muscle cars then you’ll want to be in the stands when the Factory Appearing Stock Tire (F.A.S.T.) group hits the track. These cars must all look showroom stock with the body, interior, engine, and wheels all being stock as they were from the factory. Racers can make any internal engine changes they want with upwards of 560 cubic inches. With 800 horsepower on tap these cars will run deep into the nine and 10-second range.
