Plumbing the engine bay of a racecar can be a quarrelsome affair that will leave a builder frustrated if they haven’t planned correctly or have the right parts. Peterson Fluid Systems specializes in making sure the liquids that make an engine run get to where they need to go in the most efficient way possible while facilitating easy installation. Peterson’s new Billet Y-Manifold design helps to ease the pain of plumbing by providing a quality piece that’s easy to work with.
Peterson Fluid Systems has been working on the Billet Y-Manifold part for over a year. Each unit is made of aluminum to save on weight and is produced on a CNC machine for the highest quality finish. One of the goals with this new design was to move away from the previous design’s dip-braze production process and to a screw fitting with an O-ring. This was done to improve the serviceability of the system along with making it more user-friendly.
To give the Billet Y-Manifold extra utility, Peterson anodized them in a way that they are compatible with most fluids so they can be used in different areas of the car. Adding performance to the Billet Y-Manifold was also on the agenda, so they’ve been machined for a high fluid flow rate. Fitting combinations from -4AN to -10AN will be available. Additionally, there will be two-, three-, and four-way configurations as options for the Billet Y-Manifold. The Billet Y-Manifolds are a great solution if you’re trying to tie multiple oil or fuel lines into one with the best flow possible.
