Mark Williams Enterprises Offers Two Year Warranty For 11-Inch Gears

Extracting horsepower and maximizing a budget can go hand-in-hand when you’re trying to finish the details up on a max-effort build. Mark Williams Enterprises now has a way you can do both with their new two-year warranty offer for 11-inch gears for their modular rearends. These units allow you to put down massive horsepower and, in turn, you can save money on gear maintenance with this warranty offer.

Trying to run a colossal amount of horsepower through a driveline is going to cause wear on parts and the rearend ultimately takes a pretty big beating. Going with a modular housing like the Mark Williams 11-inch unit reduces the stress that horsepower puts on the rearend and the gears inside due to its larger size.

Andrew Dickson from Mark Williams Enterprises explains why an 11-inch rearend can take more abuse than other rearend housings.

“Even though the 11-inch rearend is a little heavier than a 9-inch rear, it makes up for it in reliability as well as some friction advantages. The nature of a larger gear means less friction where the teeth contact — this is part of the reason the gears last longer: they’re under less stress. Because the contact points are farther away from the axle centerline there is less pressure needed to generate the same amount of torque. Think of it like having a longer wrench.”

To help racers that decide to use these 11-inch rearends, Mark Williams Enterprises is adding a warranty that lasts for two years from the date of purchase. If the gears fail from normal drag racing use, Mark Williams will replace the gear free of charge.

“The cost savings are there but it will depend on how fast a racer cycles through gears. If they’re replacing gears every 20 to 50 passes, the price of pro gears can add up quickly. Add to that downtime, repair time, gear oil, etc. and the costs are significant. That doesn’t even count what a broken gear in the finals would cost. All of this can be reduced with the 11-inch rearend and gears,” Dickson says.
