The 2020 racing season is starting to wind down and that means it’s time for champions to be crowned in series across the country. Team ProTorque drivers have hauled in the hardware with big wins and set plenty of records in multiple classes.

Locking up a season-long championship is one of the most difficult things to do in heads-up drag racing. Not only do you have to be fast, but you also need to be consistent so you can earn every point possible. Outlaw 10.5 racer Blake Copson absolutely dominated the Outlaw Street Car Shootout Series at Cecil County Dragway on his way to winning the title. ProTorque racer Ron Rhodes won the Outlaw Street Car Shootout Series title in X275, while his son, Ronny, won it in Ultra Street. The NMRA season recently finished up and Joel Greathouse captured the Renegade class championship, along with Dom DiDonato bringing home the Street Outlaw title.

ProTorque racers lit the scoreboards on fire this year and set a host of records across the drag racing world. Copson owned the Outlaw 10.5 record multiple times, laying down a best pass of 3.69 to date. Ronny Rhodes clocked a 4.50 to earn the Ultra Street world record, while his father, Ron, became the quickest small0block nitrous racer  in X275 with a 4.26-second run. NMRA racer Joel Greathouse smashed the NMRA Renegade national record with his 4.58, and Bob Clayton shattered the Cecil County Dragway X275 record with his monstrous 4.24-second pass.
