During routine maintanance the Rini crew found a couple of weak holes and tore it down to replace some damaged rings. There were no real problems found otherwise and they were just putting the second piston back in.

Tim Lynch and the Pro Line crew have been racing hard for several weeks and had to take the heads off for some much needed maintance. They were putting it all back together tonight. I have to say I was wondering why they didnt make a pass today, and now we know why.

Good eats in the New York Motorsports pits. Thanks for the food guys and congrats on the number one in OL 10.5. I have an interview with Craig Pio that will be up in the morning.

Mark Engle had to tear all teh pistons out of their 738 ci BBC so they were hard at work getting it done. He qualified seventh and will face Peter Esposito in round one tomorrow.
