Cleetus McFarland Partners In Bradenton Motorsports Park Ownership

Social media influencer and automotive YouTube star Cleetus McFarland made public on Saturday that he recently made another big move by acquiring a 50 percent stake in Bradenton Motorsports Park (BMP), one of drag racing premier facilities. This strategic partnership with Victor Alvarez, BMP’s owner that has guided it through its resurgence as a top drag racing destination, aligns perfectly with Cleetus’ ongoing commitment to grassroots motorsports that first began with the acquisition an revitalization of the neighboring Freedom Factory oval track.

“When I bought the Freedom Factory five years ago, it was a disaster,” Cleetus opened in the video announcing the new partnership. “But with a lot of hard work, we turned it into something amazing. Bradenton Motorsports Park has played a huge role in that journey. Without this drag strip, I don’t think my channel would be half of what it is today.”

Bradenton Motorsports Park and the Freedom Factory sit on property directly adjacent to one another, creating an expansive hub for car culture, from live events to Cleetus’ content creation efforts. The tracks host marquee events such as the PRO Superstar Shootout, FL2K, and Cleetus’ own signature gatherings like the Cleetus and Cars festivals. This new partnership, Cleetus explained, brings the operations of the two tracks closer together than ever before.

“After FL2K24 it became apparent to Victor and I the drag strip was bursting at the seams with growth, and he needed a strategic partner. With he and I joining forces, we can pool resources, employees, and ideas to take both facilities to the next level,” he says. “We’re already making upgrades to BMP, like the new tech shed that’ll streamline racer experience and improve efficiency during events.”

Alvarez praised the deal, highlighting how Cleetus has been instrumental in the growth of both tracks. “We’ve been working together since before he bought the Freedom Factory. This partnership feels like a natural progression,” Victor shares. “Now we can share equipment and staff, which means better events for racers and fans alike.”

The management shift also brings a familiar face into a new role. Josh Dauta, a trusted Freedom Factory team member, will now serve as the general manager for both facilities. “Josh’s follow-through is 100 percent,” Cleetus says. “He’s been critical to the Freedom Factory’s success, and I can’t think of anyone better to oversee BMP as we push for even greater things.”

As Cleetus put it, “This drag strip has done more for me than any single piece of property I’ve touched. To now be part-owner is a dream come true, and we’re going to keep making it better for racers, fans, and everyone who loves motorsports.”
