No-time competitor Dwayne Walker went for one of the wildest rides of the young season Saturday at Mike Hill’s March Madness event at the Carolina Dragway.
Georgia native Walker, behind the wheel of his sleek turbocharged Ford Mustang, turned nose-up just past the 60-foot marker and began its ascent into the Aiken, South Carolina sky. Walker briefly left the tarmac before crashing down at 330-feet with such force that the car bounced off the racing surface, turned on its side, and rolled into the guardrail. Walker came to rest back on all fours and emerged unhurt.

Impressively, by Sunday Walker and his crew had already cut the entire body from the chassis and sawed the front clip off to expedite the repair process and get back on the racetrack.
