Pro Mod
Pro Modified, which mimics the rulebook of the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge on the NHRA Full Throttle Series, will include combinations for unlimited cubic inch nitrous-assisted cars, along with superchargers up to 526 inches and turbocharged entries which are now limited to 540.
Outlaw 10.5
For Outlaw 10.5, there are six allowable combinations, including centrifugal, roots ,and screw supercharged, single and twin turbocharged, and nitrous-assisted with both small and big blocks. Turbocharged entries will be limited 94mm units maximum. However, the most interesting combination of all may be that of V-6 engines that can include any number of power adders at only 2,550 pounds, which could lead to some very unique setups rolling through tech. The class will maintain Outlaw 10.5 in its pure form, prohibiting the use of full tube chassis ADRL Extreme 10.5 type cars.
Limited Street
Limited Street will also include numerous combinations, including V-6’s with single power adders. Twin turbocharged entries will be limited to 91mm units. Tires are restricted to 30×10.5 slicks or 13.5R-15 Radials, and the use of wheelie bars will be prohibited.
EZ Street
In EZ Street, all three power adders will be included with small and big blocks with a 650 cubic inch maximum limit. Centrifugal supercharger units will be restricted to F2 units or smaller, and turbocharged cars limited to 94mm units. EZ will be a stock suspension class without wheelie bars running on a maximum 295 Drag Radial tire.
Modified Street
Modified Street will be the most restricted and factory-like of the heads up classes, with a minimum weight of 3,200 pounds, including driver. Engine size will be limited to 440 cubic inch small block V-8’s. Fuel injection and electronic fuel injection are prohibited, and single plate nitrous systems are the only allowable power adder. Cars must retain the stock front and rear framerails and suspension. Tires will be limited to a maximum 28×10.5 slick or 275 Drag Radial.
The NHRA Unleashed tour will begin its season in Atlanta, and then head to O’Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis Aug 6-8, National Trail Raceway in Columbus, Ohio September 10-12, and conclude at Gainesville Raceway in Gainesville, Florida November 5-7.
