Press Release from NHRA:

NHRA will unleash ticket sales in a few weeks for its newest major attraction, NHRA Unleashed, a celebration of pure American horsepower, coming to an NHRA facility near you this summer.

The first of four inaugural NHRA Unleashed events will be held June 11-13 at Atlanta Dragway. Tickets for this historic event will go on sale April 3. Disrupt/ive Studios, producer of the hit TV show Pinks, will produce a television series celebrating every aspect of these exciting events, highlighting the passion and lifestyle of NHRA competitors and fans.

All four NHRA Unleashed events will be held at NHRA-owned and -operated facilities; the others are O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis (tickets on sale May 29 for Aug. 6-8 event), National Trail Raceway near Columbus, Ohio (tickets on sale July 6 for Sept. 10-12 event), and Gainesville Raceway (tickets on sale Aug. 28 for Nov. 5-7 event).

Tickets for each NHRA Unleashed event will go on sale at 10 a.m. EDT on each date and can be purchased by logging on to NHRA.com and clicking on the NHRA Unleashed logo box. Spectator tickets will also be available the day of the event at the gate.

NHRA Unleashed tickets are $10 for adults Friday and $20 for Saturday and Sunday. A three-day pass is $40, and a Saturday-Sunday pass is $35. Tickets for children 6-12 are $5 for one day, and a three-day ticket is $10. Children 5 and younger will be admitted free.

Racer registration for all racing classes that will be showcased at the NHRA Unleashed events will open the same time that spectator tickets go on sale. Only a limited number of entries per category is available, so participants are encouraged to register early. Racer entries can also be purchased through the NHRA Unleashed section of NHRA.com.

The NHRA Unleashed events will give fans of all makes and models of muscle cars and all things that go fast the ability to enjoy a sensory-overload high-performance weekend. Each NHRA Unleashed event will feature side-by-side doorslammer drag racing, car shows, an autocross, manufacturers’ midway, dyno, swap meets, kids zone, and much more. All of the activities will celebrate the love affair that young and old hot rodding enthusiasts have with the car culture.

Exciting drag racing will take place during theweekend, and all event winners will receive the coveted Wally. Classes include 13.0 Heads-up, 12.0 Heads-up, 11.0 Heads-up, 10.0 Heads-up, 8.5 Heads-up, Modified Street, EZ Street, Limited Street, Outlaw 10.5, and the wildly popular Pro Mods.

Pro Mod competitors will be eligible to earn grade points toward entry into the NHRA Get Screened America Pro Mod Drag Racing Series. Grade points will be issued to competitors holding a valid Pro Mod license and active NHRA membership. Racers in all classes that require an NHRA competition license should be NHRA members with the proper certifications. It is recommended that racers in all other classes have an NHRA competition license and be NHRA members.

NHRA and Disrupt/ive Studios plan on announcing a television partner and TV schedule for the four events in the near future.
