MMPSA “Rumble at the Rock”: The newly-formed Mountain Motor Pro Stock Association kicked off it’s inaugural event as an in independent organization with “Rumble at the Rock” as part of the Patriot Performance Outlaw Civil Wars. Cary Goforth grabbed the top qualifying position with a 6.258 at 220.84 MPH – just .008 short of the world record – and rode that momentum all the way to the winner’s circle where he would oust Bob Bertsch with a come-from-behind 6.31 to 6.36 count. IHRA Pro-Am Divisional at Piemont Dragway: Piemont Dragway in Greensboro, NC was the site of this weekends IHRA Division 9 Pro-Am Tour event. In Top Dragster, Steve Estes defeated a red-lighting Mike Gross with a dead-on 4.565, and in Top Sportsman, Mark Holcomb grabbed the win after Gary Bingham left just .002 to quick.
