The Las Vegas odds-makers had chosen Larry Dixon, John Force, and Mike Edwards as the favorites to win at this weekends SummitRacing.com Nationals, and that’s exactly how they finished. Dixon grabbed his second straight win in Top Fuel by defeating Cory McClenathan, Force notched his 129th Wally, and Mike Edwards continued his barrage on the Pro Stock contingent with a defeat of Greg Stanfield. ORSCA: The series traveled to Atlanta Dragway for the second event of the 2010 season. Rob Wells grabbed the win in Outlaw 10.5 over Brian Hicks, and Calton Thompson took the Limited Street title with a final round defeat of Mike Jones. More weekend updates can be found at on the ORSCA forums.

The championship picture in Top Fuel was shaken up at the Enzed Top Fuel Championships at Willowbank Raceway as incoming points leader Phil Lamattina fell in the semifinals, allowing Martin Stamatis to overtake him with his final round apperance, where lost to Phil Read. IHRA Pro-Am: The IHRA’s Division 1 competitors rolled into Maryland International Raceway in Budds Creek for the first two events of the season. On Saturday, Jerron Settles eeked out a close Top Dragster final over Steve Furr, parlaying a .006 reaction time into a tight .0026 margin of victory. On Sunday, Randy Scheuer Jr. grabbed the Top Sportsman Ironman, defeating Ronnie Proctor, and Tyler Bell won Stock Eliminator with a dead-on 10.66 defeat of Gene Jordan.
