As various racing series’ seasons are just starting to really get cooking, David Eick is working hard to get his sweet Mustang back out into the thick of the competition. In an effort to improve their chances of being at the front of the pack in 2010, Eick has made a long list of modifications to his car – the most recent and significant of which being the new 364″ SBF motor from BB&T Racing that’ll give this Mustang the power boost it’s been needing to be competitive in the 275 ranks.
For the full unveiling of the new goods, check out Eick’s recent post on Yellow Bullet.
What went into this new combo? Nothing but the best that the class rules permit – this 364-incher will get a nice little charge of boost from a Vortech YSI blower. Other goodies included in the new package include a set of TEA Trickflow Highport heads with 245cc intake runners, Kooks 2″ primary longtube headers, along with some sweet T&D shaft mount rocker arms aiding in valvetrain stability. Shifting all this power to the rear of the car will be a Powerglide transmission with a JW ultra case.
With various 275 radial events popping up all over the map, you might be wondering which events this killer ‘Stang will be making appearances at? Eick plans to bring it out to any event he possibly can, including but not limited to ORTC, UORS, as well as ODRA in the Ultimate Street class. It’s too soon to tell if the new package will be enough to send the competition packing early, but it’ll undoubtedly be a huge improvement from last year’s performances. It’ll be a bit before we can see this sleek ride in action, but I suppose these teaser pics will have to hold us over for now. Good luck this year David!
