Veteran NHRA Top Alcohol and Pro Modified competitor Jay Payne has a brand new horse headed to battle in the Get Screened America Pro Mod Challenge.  And when we say horse, in car terms we do mean horse.  A 2010 Mustang recently completed at Dennis Burnevik’s Sinned Customs shop.

It will continue to carry the colors of FireIce GelTech Solutions. The car is owned by Payne’s father-in-law, supercharged engine extraordinaire Brad Anderson.  Testing numbers record at Gateway International Raceway in St. Louis on Monday included a best of 5.86 at 249 mph, nearly a tenth quicker than his ’68 Camaro ran all weekend.

We’ve seen some interesting creations come Burnevik’s newly opened shop already, and this car is certainly another of them if you take a look at the rear wing  As you can see it is comprised of what appears to be a shorter version of the flat Pro Stock wing – mounted atop that is a small strut-style wing.  Essentially you’re looking at a double element wing which is almost becoming a necessity as these cars reach speeds upwards of 250 miles per hour.  With a new car and Jay’s go-fast tuning abilities, the NHRA Pro Mod contingent better watch out for this piece.
