During the off season, our good friends at Moser Engineering shot us over some renderings of the new paint schemes that would adorn the racing machines of the “Bayou Boyz” – World Champion racers Larry Cummings and his sons Britt and Slate, along with teammate Jody Simoneaux, who have maintained a long and fruitful partnership with the performance axle and rear end manufacturer.
This week, Moser’s own Tim Irwin showed off his brand new American Race Cars-built dragster that will run in IHRA and IHRA competition, sporting the new Moser Engineering paint scheme applied by Brian Olson Paint & Body and featuring the 25th anniversary logo on the nose piece. The Cummings’ Phantom Race Carts-built Top Dragster is adorned in the very same scheme applied by Jerron Settles at Imagine That Customs in Maryland, along with both of their Chevrolet Cavalier Super Stock machines and Chevy II Stocker.

The look may be new, but it’s business as usual for the Moser Engineering team and as always, the Bayou Boyz and Irwin are expected to be out in force at NHRA, IHRA, and big money bracket events and a legitimate threat wherever they show up.
