The Pacific Street Car Association presented by Chris Alston’s Chassisworks unveiled its full 2012 race schedule today, which will include eight race dates, beginning with the opener to the PSCA’s 13th season at the Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, February 17-19. The 2012 season will wrap up November 2-4 at the Auto Club Dragway in Fontana, California.
The PSCA will feature seven heads-up, four bracket, and three index classes. Headlined by the low six-second Pro Street doorslammers, the series also boasts Outlaw 10.5, Xtreme Drag Radial, Wild Street, Hot Street, Limited Street, and a number of other exciting categories.
The eight events on the 2012 schedule will be contested at the Las Vegas and Fontana facilities; regarded as two of the finest quarter mile tracks on the West coast. Las Vegas will host three of the events, including the opener, while Fontana will be the site of the remaining five events. In addition to the PSCA’s eight-race schedule, it also promotes and oversees the annual Street Car Super Nationals, now in its eights year, in Las Vegas on November 15-18.
“The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Auto Club Dragway are two of the finest facilities in the country and I am proud to hold our PSCA events at these prestigious tracks” PSCA President Mel Roth said. “This season is going to be record-setting year and track managers Chris Blair (Las Vegas) and Mark Dawson (Fontana) have assembled crews to make the PSCA racing experience not only fast and exciting, but fun as well.”
