Neal Chance Racing Converters customers have started the new season on quite the high note already this spring, with Terry Elam carrying the banner
at “Lights Out 3” in South Georgia last month with an impressive career best effort.
Then too weeks ago, NMCA mega-team owner Don Baskin took his Neal Chance-equipped Chevy II to the winners circle at the season opener for the Flowmaster NMCA Muscle Car Series in Bradenton, Fla., earning the race win in the always exciting Pro Stock division from the No. 2 qualifying position when he downed fellow veteran racer Don Bowles and his Maverick in the final, 8.46 at 156.79 to 8.61 at 153.47.
Robbie Blankenship, the series runner-up in Pro Stock last year, also made some noise with his Neal Chance setup with low ET and top speed of the weekend at 8.48 and 158.95 MPH.

Then last weekend at Xtreme Mustang event hosted by Georgia’s Macon National Dragway, longtime street legal racer Keith Szabo took home the win and the Xtreme Mustang champions belt, along with the $5,000 check that accompanies the Xtreme Mustang Vs. The World Grudge Race. As a “Last Man Standing” grudge event, the scoreboards were turned off and no elapsed time were given, but a 4.40-second laps at over 177 MPH at “Lights Out 3,” so that provides a pretty good indication of what Szabo was bringing to the table at the big money grudge event wit his twin turbocharged entry backed with a Neal Chance converter.
