To say that racers carrying the ATI Performance Products banner had a great weekend on the eighth-miles and quarter-miles of America would be a monumental understatement.
Eight different racers across a vast spectrum of racing series set records and collected wins on the weekend, and that doesn’t even account for the hundreds — or make that thousands — of racers out there collecting wins at local events across the nation.
Leading the charge was NHRA Pro Atock champion Greg Anderson, who debuted his brand spankin’ new 2012 Chevrolet Camaro in Englishtown, complete with ATI’s Super Damper

onboard. In it’s maiden voyage, Anderson drove the Summit Racing machine all the way to victory lane over teammate and follow ATI runner Jason Line.
Franklin DiBartelomeo, who utilizes an ATI transmission, SuperCase, converter, damper, and Super F fluids in his family’s dragster, drove to the
Super Comp crown, while Peter Biondo earned a “Wally” in a record-tying sixth different category — Super Street — in his Camaro equipped with an ATI transmission, converter, Super Damper, and Super F. They were joined in the winners circle at Englishtown by Stock Eliminator champ Joe Santangelo, who uses a full compliment of ATI components in his Rowe Racing Engines Camaro. Dan Fletcher, one of the sport’s most prolific sportsman racers, powered his way to the runner-up position in Competition Eliminator, as well.
Elsewhere in the Northeast, X275 kingpin Rich Bruder was busy running roughshod over the competition at Cecil County’s Outlaw Street Car Shootout, where he ran the class’ first 4.5-second lap in hit ATI-equipped Mustang. Outlaw 10.5 runner Billy Gordon also made waves at Cecil

County, earning a final round decision with a new career best 4.16. Gordon’s twin-turbocharged mount remains the quickest and fastest Powerglide-equipped Outlaw 10.5 car in the country.
In Maryland, Bruders’ fellow X275 hitter Dean Marinis reset both ends of the MIR track record in his beautiful orange Mustang, running a string of low 4.70’s and a best of 4.69.
Heading westward, Texas native Doug Reisterer notched a dominating win in Pro Nitrous at the ADRL Gateway Drags IV in At. Louis, edging Burton Auxier by a 3.82 to 3.84 count in his ATI-powered Camaro.
