Jarvis Set To Return To Outlaw 10.5 Action After YB Nats Crash

As we close in on the year past, we look back to a horrific accident that happened at the Yellowbullet Nationals in the first round of Outlaw 10.5 eliminations last September. It was a first round pairing versus Brian Penna where things went from a weekend of career best passes to the unthinkable. Even in the 1/8-mile racing world things can go terribly wrong quickly and it was right past the finish line that Harry “Buck” Jarvis’ Camaro made a hard left hand turn towards the wall. Through the motions, Jarvis nearly hit the back end of Brian Penna’s car as he collided with the wall. Fortunately, Jarvis was uninjured in the incident and would go onto to re-build and come full circle in less than a year.

Jarvis relied on his determined team and Drummond Race Cars to get his twin turbocharged Camaro back in shape for it’s return to action. The car suffered major damage to the front end and was reworked exstensively by the crew at Drummond Race Cars to get it back straight and safe. The Benston Racing Engines big block is back in place with the twin turbochargers and all piping repaired or replaced. Buck’s Camaro may not be sporting the same eye-catching paint scheme as it had before, but rest assured that the performance level will be right on pace with where he left off. Most recently, it was reported that the Camaro is ready for some test sessions and we will keep all of our fans up to date on the numbers when they become available. It’s just great to see another racer bounce back from a nasty accident to return to the track when some would simply walk away.
