ProCharger F-1X Powers Bruder To Yellow Bullet Nats X275 Crown

This season, the Bruder Brothers and tuner “Mustang Mike” Modeste have gained as many “haters” as they have trophies in the X275 ranks.

Brothers Rich and Nick, along with Modeste, notched yet another victory — perhaps their biggest win of the season — on Sunday at the Yellow Bullet Nationals at Rising Sun, Maryland’s Cecil County Dragway. The win marked their second in as many races since rule changes were put in place to dial back the very combination they were running.

Not only did Rich Bruder win the event, but he did it in his usual dominating fashion, qualifying No. 1 with a 4.641 at 157.30 mph and carding low elapsed time of the race at 4.62-seconds in his ProCharger F-1X-equipped Ford Mustang alongside final round foe Sean Ashe.

The win came the very same week that the Bruder’s went on the internet to silence their “haters” by showing off their new, low-tech Marcella cast intake manifold that replaced the trick sheet metal intake that had the competition up in arms. Despite the change, Bruder never missed a beat and ran within a few hundredths of his own X275 world record as he carried the ProCharger banner into victory lane at one of the season’s biggest heads-up drag races.
