Money Talks Promotions is putting a seven-figure number behind its move into Pro Mod racing in 2027, with promoter Matt Tucker committing $1 million in payouts across a four-race championship at Xtreme Raceway Park in Ferris, Texas.
The money is the eye-catcher, and Tucker isn’t attaching it to one single weekend, a points championship, or a winning streak. The four-event program will distribute the purse throughout the season, giving Pro Mod teams multiple opportunities to race for substantial money while also chasing a separate championship payout.
The four events, Money on the Line, Payday, Break the Bank, and Paid in Full will each feature a 32-car main event paying $84,000 to the winner and $20,000 to the runner-up. The rules also award $1,300 for each round win. Racers who qualify outside the 32-car field will move into a second-chance Pocket Change race, which pays $35,000 to win and $15,000 to the runner-up.
Another $200,000 is earmarked for the top eight in the final points standings, led by $100,000 for the champion. A driver’s best three of four events will count toward the championship.
For Tucker, the Pro Mod program is an expansion of a promotion model he has already tested in no-prep racing. Tucker owns WesTX Abilene Raceway, where his team has progressively increased the money behind its Small Tire program. In July, Freedom of War carried $150,000 in guaranteed Small Tire payouts, with Chase Womack collecting $75,000 for the victory.

November’s War of Reckoning raises that total to $200,000, including $80,000 to the winner.
Moving into Pro Mod had already been part of Tucker’s longer-term plans.
“My approach to promoting has always been centered around creating meaningful opportunities for racers,” Tucker says. “The goal isn’t simply to put another race on the calendar, we want to create high-level events with substantial guaranteed payouts, strong competition, professional promotion, and an atmosphere that racers and fans genuinely want to be part of.
“After seeing the growth and success of what we have built at WesTX, we felt the natural next step was to take that same philosophy into Pro Mod racing. That led to the creation of MT Promotions and the decision to partner with Xtreme Raceway Park as the host facility for the 2027 High Stakes Pro Mod Series.”
“We aren’t trying to reinvent who we are as promoters. We’re taking the same commitment we have shown the no prep community putting racers first, guaranteeing meaningful money and delivering on what we advertise and bringing it to another level of the sport.”
Racing has been part of Matt’s life for as long as he can remember. He has been an avid racer himself, and although he went on to build successful businesses outside of motorsports, racing has always remained one of his biggest passions. As those businesses grew, Matt reached a point where he wanted to take the experience, resources, and business principles that had made them successful and invest them into the racing industry.

A big part of Matt’s philosophy, both personally and professionally, has always been giving back. Whether it is employees, clients, the local community, or now the racing community, he believes success creates an opportunity and a responsibility to open doors for other people. That mindset, he says, is a major reason WesTX has focused so heavily on guaranteed payouts and creating real earning opportunities for racers.
Expanding into Pro Mod racing had already been part of the long-term plans. Then, as uncertainty developed around other major racing programs and scheduled events were cancelled, Tucker saw an even greater need for a stable platform where Pro Mod racers could compete at a high level for significant guaranteed money. That accelerated the vision behind the High Stakes Pro Mod Series.
“This wasn’t a decision to simply jump into Pro Mod racing because an opportunity appeared,” he continues. “It was already part of the direction we were moving. The circumstances just made us realize that the right time to move forward was now,” Tucker adds.
“We see Pro Mod racers as some of the most talented teams and competitors in drag racing. The investment required to compete at that level is enormous, and we believe those racers deserve events that recognize that commitment. The High Stakes Pro Mod Series was created to provide exactly that, a professionally promoted series, serious competition, substantial guaranteed payouts, and a platform we intend to continue building for years to come,” Tucker says.

Every payout that MT advertises is fully guaranteed, and that was important to Matt from the beginning, because he believes credibility with racers starts with doing exactly what you say you’re going to do.
Matt has demonstrated his commitment to racers through what he and the team have done at WesTX, and he intends to bring that same level of dedication, support, and opportunity to the Pro Mod racing communities. “Ultimately, we want to build major events that work for everyone involved the racers competing, the fans in the stands, the tracks hosting them, and the businesses supporting the sport,” he says.
The four races will carry a $2,500 entry fee and feature four qualifying rounds. The quickest 32 advance to the main event, while the remaining qualifiers get another race through Pocket Change.
It is an ambitious financial commitment for an independent Pro Mod program, but Tucker has made the purse itself impossible for the sport’s top Pro Mod teams to overlook.
