Every year when the SEMA Show rolls around, ProCharger’s booth not only has a new blower on display, but usually a laundry list of their accomplishments for the year in drag racing. This year, the two lined up as their new, giant F-4X-140-2 supercharger also happens to have been quite successful on the drag strip in 2026.

“[The ProCharger F-4X-140-2] is our newest version of our Outlaw Pro Mod blower,” explains ProCharger’s Director of Service and Motorsports, Walt Sipp. “This is the supercharger that currently owns the PDRA Pro Boost ET record and recently wrapped up the Pro 275 championship in Radial Outlaws. It’s the next step in efficiency in our race models.”

By maximizing the size of the impeller and impeller housing to meet the rulebook, ProCharger found significant increases in efficiency on the air-moving side of the supercharger. The improvements were enough to warrant a new “dash-2” model designation.

As the name suggests, the supercharger is an absolute monster. The new “Dash-Two” model has a 5.55-inch inducer diameter nestled inside of a monstrous 14.5-inch housing. Listed as flowing a maximum of 4,700 cfm of air and capable of 4,000 horsepower at 65 psi of boost, this blower was built to improve on the previous version of the F-4X-140.

“It has the same F4 gearbox we’ve been using for several years. It’s a really strong, really durable gearbox, but with a larger housing and impeller design, with higher efficiency. It really works well,” Sipp explains. “The original 140-1 supercharger was 4,000-horsepower capable. This supercharger model, with the new efficiencies of the impeller wheel going all the way out to the maximum rules size and the larger, 14.5-inch housing with a 5-inch outlet, all working together, is typically going to be anywhere from a 7-10 psi improvement over the previous generation.”

The proven F-4 supercharger transmission with its 4.70:1 step-up ratio remains unchanged in this model, offering a maximum blower speed of 72,000 rpm. When you think about that speed coupled with the size of the impeller, you realize what an engineering feat that is.

So, you might be asking, if this is a new model, how can it be called one of the most successful superchargers in the ProCharger lineup in 2026? That’s because ProCharger has been developing it with the help of racers all year long. “We’ve been developing iterations of this new design with the larger housing over about the last year, so it’s gone through a few changes in between,” shares Sipp.

“We worked with some of our racers, specifically Johnny Camp on the Pro Mod side, as well as Jeff Rudolph, Sean Ellington, and guys like that as well to help us develop it. We set the record at 3.54 in the eighth-mile in PDRA Pro Boost about the middle of the season, and it held the rest of the year.”  With an ET record and a class championship in its first season of testing, it’s safe to say that the F-4X-140-2 is a significant upgrade over the “dash-1” model, and quite the supercharger in general.
