Earlier this year, Dragzine brought you news of CFE Racing Products’ domination of the first half of the season in the NHRA’s Pro Stock, Competition Eliminator, and Super Stock classes, none of which are known as easy ranks to compete in, much less dominate. The Eastpointe Michigan-based manufacturing and machining facility, now in its third decade of operation, has built a solid reputation for consistently providing customers with race- and championship-winning horsepower. For proof, look no farther than the continued dominance of CFE-equipped customers in the ultra competitive Pro Stock ranks through the second half of the season.

Since the first week of August, CFE clients have won seven of eight Pro Stock races and Elite Motorsports’ ace driver Erica Enders-Stevens is all but a lock to win CFE its fourth straight world championship and eleventh championship overall in the premier naturally aspirated class in all of motorsports. Of those seven race wins, Enders-Stevens accounted for three of them, a total equaled by Chris McGaha, with young gun Drew Skillman grabbing the remaining victory. On the season, Enders-Stevens has tallied a stellar eight event wins, including the prestigious U.S. Nationals at Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Raceway, along with doubling up at the SummitRacing.com NHRA Nationals in Vegas, where she won the event along with the K&N Horsepower Challenge. She is the first Pro Stock driver to complete the double in consecutive seasons since legendary class pioneer Bob Glidden did so in 1987-88.
In Competition Eliminator, Greg Kamplain also brought the U.S. Nationals win back to the CFE camp, while Craig Bourgeois and Arnie Martel added to the tally with race wins of their own, Bourgeois winning the AAA Texas FallNationals in Dallas and Martel winning the Lucas Oil Division 2 race in Reynolds, Georgia. In the months since our last update, CFE’s customers have also set a dozen Comp Eliminator records to accompany the event victories.
While the bulk of CFE’s triumphs come in the Pro Stock realm – 177 at last tally – the company also boasts customers in NASCAR Sprint Cup and the Indy Racing League, so don’t be surprised to see that iconic CFE decal in the winner’s circle at Dayton and that OTHER track in Indianapolis as well.
