Spring has only barely sprung, and already it’s been a record-shattering season in the radial tire racing world, with new world elapsed times and speed records and a whole laundry list of three-second runs. And in just a few short weeks, many of the top names in the game will return to the track and the event that first made the three-second zone a reality, when the Huntsville Dragway in Alabama hosts the Radial Fest: Spring Edition. Dragzine and SpeedVideo will be there to bring you a LIVE broadcast of all the on-track action, – presented by Lunati Cams – from qualifying right through the crowning of champions on Saturday evening.
The Radial Fest will once again be headlined by the $10,000-to-win Radial vs. The World class, with 3.8-second, 210-plus mph performances from the kings of radial racing, with Brad Edwards, Mark Woodruff, Kevin Mullins, Daniel Pharris, Shawn Ayers, Jamie Hancock, Rob Valden, and many other expected to be in attendance. The always-popular X275 class, which also got in on the record-breaking last fall when Jared Johnston went an all-time-quick 4.37 at the Radial Fest, will feature a $5,000 winners payout, as will the Limited Drag Radial category. The event will also feature Mean Street, 6.00 and 7.00 Index, and a King of the Streets eliminator.
