Isaiah Rojas in the Toyota obliterated the Outlaw vs Extreme record that he previously owned with the 5.67 at 251! in the first round of eliminations at the 2018 Haltech Import vs Domestic World Cup Finals!

A huge congratulations to Tim Essick who took the win over Michael Ziccardi in Outlaw vs Extreme!

Hailey James out of New Mexico took home the win in Wild Street and Jamar Gomez took the win in his Import in X275 vs Hot Rod!
Ralph Hardesty in the Procharged Nova took home the win in the newest class Warriors vs Tres Cuarto and George Farkouh took the win in Street Fighter!
In Super Street Shawn Ramey in his 2000 Civic was the most consistent racer in the class taking home the win!
Muhammad Ali in Radial vs Modified went the distance taking the #1 qualifying spot all the way to the winners circle!
Tommy Godfrey in a borrowed car and a just recently finished motor went into the World Cup race with not much testing but was able to make his way through the All Motor Field to take home the win!
Chris Dutkewycz in the 2002 H24 Turbo Tacoma went all the way from the #1 qualifying position to the finals taking home the True Street win!
Ryan Schnitz in the first year of Pro Street Bike took home the win with a best of 6.62 on the bike!

The #1 qualifier in Outlaw vs Extreme, Isaias Rojas was the odds-on-favorite to take home the win this year but was upset in round two by Damon Chin in his 2005 Celica after Rojas spun the tires.
John Langer in his N/A Pontiac Firebird, a fan favorite on the domestic side, hangs the hoops en route to another mid 7-second pass!
Carlos Montano went into a spin and ended up on his roof. Montano was okay and exited under his own power.
John Kauderer, the #4 qualifier in Wild Street, launched and got a little out of shape mid-track and hit the wall hard. He ended up okay but the car was in rough shape.
Dale Collins, a regular Outlaw 10.5 racer in his Raspberry Rocket, had an issue with only one chute deploying and then blew a front tire trying to get it stopped. It looks like his belts did the job, as he’s just a bit sore. Hopefully the hit is repairable and we see him back out next year!
Nicky Notch and Jimmy Dolan have the YeTTi Lightning pickup on a tear in Warriors vs Tres Cuarto, running personal bests well into the 6's.
The owner of Salinas Speedway in Puerto Rico, Ramon Lopez, Jr. was on hand at the Haltech Import Domestic race as a guest of Jason Miller. Jason went down and helped out with the prep at Salinas earlier this season, leading to a host of career best runs.
Everyone was on there feet when the National Anthem from the United States and Puerto Rico played.
This year’s event enjoyed a record-setting crowd.
The first round of All Motor saw many of the domestics take the round win, many of them reaching for the sky!

A valiant effort was made by the track crew here at the 2018 Haltech Import vs Domestics World Cup race to get everyone a fifth qualifier but an oildown derailed a couple classes from completing them.
Rafael Famania in his '93 Civic racing in Super Street (left) and Erick Aguilar in True Street both come up on the chip to produce some insane flames during the last session of qualifying at the Haltech Import vs Domestic World Cup race.
Jimmy Dolan in the YeTTi does it again! This duo of Nicky Notch behind the keyboard and Dolan behind the wheel has been a match that Jimmy couldn’t find elsewhere! The hardwork of this team has shown every race out, continually improving every aspect of their race program!
Jason Miller has been working the track very hard and it has shown with multiple class records and a slew of personal bests! This man works hard in every aspect of the Import vs Domestic race!
Michael Ziccardi ran a personal best this year in the OAB Racing 1970 Barracuda with a 5.99 at 254 mph.
A huge congratulations goes out to the team of Jamar Gomez from Puerto Rico, who went 6.62 in X275 vs Hot Rod in his 1981 Starlet!
Teddy Weaver reaches for the sun in his All Motor Mustang!
Not to be outdone, NMRA heavy hitter Carlos Sobrino did the same as Weaver.
James Kempf has been faster than everyone by a wide margin in Wild Street with his 200+ mph passes in his front-wheel-drive machine.
Cleetus McFarland has to have one of the wildest cars in Wild Street, opting for no body on his 7-second 2001 Corvette.
The stands here at Maryland International Raceway are packed with people from all over the world to check out the Imports and Domestics do battle on the 1/4-mile.

George Farkouh, Valerie Clements, and Alton Clements are all Street Fighter racers and soon all will be family. Valerie and George are engaged and Alton will be George's new brother-in-law. One big happy Street Fighter family!
Jorge Diaz Jr in his '82 Starlet went for a wild ride when he spun the tires and got into the other lane!
Such a fitting E.T. for Brian Devilbiss, going 6.66 at 210 mph in X275 vs Hot Rod.
Ryan Hecox was the first car down this morning in X275 vs Hot Rod.
The track crew worked hard after the rain stopped last night and are in the process of drying the track to pick back up with X275 vs Hot Rod and Warriors vs Tres Cuarto. After that we will start the fourth qualifier for all classes.
Gary White in the Titan Motorsports 2JZ Supra clicked off a 7.52 in X275 vs Hot Rod to sit him solidly in the field. Just some normal routine maintenance is going on before they go out and try to improve!
Team South Africa is here racing at the Haltech Import vs Domestic World Cup. They have everything at hand with the shipping container they sent over before the race. The crew were working on the fuel pump when we swung by.
Jonathan Reynolds unloading his Tial Sport-backed 1995 Civic with a K24 that he is campaigning in Wild Street. Reynolds improved tremendously from his first qualifier to his second. Reynolds went from 11.00 down to a 7.825!

Vendors are starting to get ready for the second day of the 2018 Haltech World Cup Finals
Racers are unloading and getting ready for the second round of qualifying this morning.
Jason Abee in his recently updated Procharged G-Body is racing in Radial vs Modified to get some more laps in his recently updated 1987 Grand Prix.
X275 vs Hot Rod, Wild Street, Warriors vs Tres Cuarto, and True Street first round of qualifying.
Super Street, Street Figher, Radial vs Modified, and Pro Street Bike first round of qualifying.
Outlaw vs Extreme and All Motor first round of qualifying.
Teddy Weaver and Carlos Sobrino, two of the regular domestic all motor cars at this event, are here trying to keep the imports at bay!
All Motor has some quick imports doing the best they can to bring home the win to the Import side of the 2018 Haltech World Cup Championship!
Two smoky burnouts from the True Street class racers!
Ken Quartuccio, with the help of Jamie Miller, went a 5.98 at 234 in his Corvette in Friday morning qualifying at the World Cup Finals.
Jimmy Dolan in the YeTTi continues to impress everyone here at the World Cup going a career best 6.85!
In Outlaw vs Extreme Isaias Rojas made the quickest World Cup pass in history with a 5.72 at 250 mph!
Rob Goss in the Procharged Challenger sits at #1 in X275 vs Hot Rod with his 6.83 from the first round while Ralph Hardesty in his Procharger Nova dipped into the 6.70's to stay #1 in Warriors vs Tres Cuarto!
Another new class at the Haltech World Cup Finals is Pro Street Bike, where we have the motorcycles running in the high 6's in the 1/4-mile.
Jason Abee owner of 1320 Fabrications is out racing in Radial vs Modified with his completely update 87 Gran Prix that he races with a Smal Block Chevy and big F3 Procharger stuffing it with as much air as it can handle! Look for Jason to be real competitive once they figure it out!
Jimmy Dolan in the YeTTi was all smiles in his pit after going another career best. A few maintenance items were addressed from the first day of racing so the Lightning should be a real contender the rest of the World Cup race!

Carl Brunet made the long haul from Canada to race in Radial vs Modified. After the second qualifier he sits atop the field with the 6.361 at 217. You can see the team doing some maintenance before the third qualifier tonight.

Luis Rivera also known as Rafaelito took his 2005 RX-8 to #5 with his 6.59 at 206. They were making sure everything was ok after that last pass.The Mech Tech team out of Puerto Rico went to work after the second qualifier where Isaiah Rojas went to the top of the field by a lot with his 5.725! The El Humilde team sits outside right now after having an issue with the intercooler tank. They have patched it up and look to see if they can break into the field tonight.

Cleanup after the Radial vs Modified car of Luis Torres slid and went onto his side.The driver is ok and out but with the threat of rain and the cleanup they are calling it for the night. Racers are to be ready to go at 10am Saturday morning.
Andy Manson started to climb the ring gear but a quick pedal settle it back down.
Tim Essick's Mustang looks great! The car is known as Brown Sugar! Tim is running in Otlaw vs Extreme and is solidly in the field for now. Lets see if he turns it up and goes into the top of the field!
