It’s another fine day in Florida for racing as we move to the final day of the 2020 US Street Nationals in Bradenton. We get started this morning with Open Comp and Jr. Dragsters before moving to the Index classes and heads up racing towards 11 AM.

Mike “Mountain Man” Achenbach hails from Nazareth, PA and is entered in Pro Mod this weekend with his gorgeous Purple 1969 RJ Race Cars built Camaro. The car has a Buck Racing Engines 959 topped with Switzer Dynamics nitrous system with Brandon Switzer making the calls on the tune ups using a MOTEC M150 and qualified number eight in a tough field. Mike has had the car going on a year and a half and played around with street cars before jumping into Pro Mod with both feet. After the purchase he took the car to Rick Jones for some work and Jones pointed him to Jay Cox and Switzer. Mike owns. Plans for the team for 2020 include racing the Northeast Pro Mod series, The Shakedown and some PDRA events in Pro Nitrous. Mike’s company MJA Installations is the team sponsor. The team this weekend from left to right is Rob Schuttert, Steve Hemhauser, Ryan Ackerman, Mike Achenbach and Brandon Switzer.

Ron Green banged the blower last night on his record setting 3.839 run last night in Pro 275 with El Diablo. We caught up with them this morning to find Justin Smith and Charlie Hunt setting the blower back on the engine to prepare for round two.
2019 X275 Champion Charles Hull qualified sixth in class this weekend and is running a new lockup trans and converter from M&M for 2020. They are working out the bugs with the new set up and made it to round two, getting by a wheel standing Eric Kenward last night. Charles’ son Davey is here this weekend, pictured at left in the KBX prepared car.
Shawn Pevlor was here testing for DXP Street running in Pro 275 this weekend. Pevlor has teamed up with KBX for 2020 with Kolivas tuning on a nitrous car for the first time. The team had a good test running a 4.96 at 136 using a Nitrous Outlet class legal plate which is sure to get some tongues wagging with only 136 MPH. Pevlor has a history of running at the top of the class and teaming up with KBX will sure make them a force to be reckoned with in the new entry level class.
Justin Palmer has been running in X275 for about nine months now scoring the New England Dragway championship and running Yellow Bullet Nationals and now the US Street nats for his second major event. The car was updated by Victor at Texiera Fabrication and runs a Disomma Racing Engine out Manny Buginga’s stable tuned by Dez Racing. They tested different Prochargers here this week and swapped back to the 102 MM unit they are familiar with before qualifying started on Friday. Manny Bugina has been a great help to the team and showing them the ropes of preparing and maintaining a car in X275. He qualified fifth and will move to the semi finals after a pair of 4.31’s to face off with Rob Goss.

Round Two Results

Round three of Pro Mod saw top qualifier Lizzy Musi dispatch with Adam Flamholc running a 3.66 at 207 and Flamholc repeating a 3.77 at 205 in a good match. Eric Gustafson had an issue on the line and left before the green against Jerico Balduf who will advance to the next round to face off with Tommy D’Aprile who set low ET for the round with a 6.63 at 204.
Radial vs the World saw no less than three cars in the 3.50's, Melanie Salemi, Kevin Rivenbark and Bryan Markiewicz, who set a new best running a 3.563 at 209 against Ronnie Hobbs who went red on his 3.71 at 211 run. He will have lane choice against Marcus Birt.
Don Lamana faced off with Tim Slavens in a Pro Mod vs Real Car matchup. Lamana struck the tires early but recovered quickly and Slavens got into a wheel stand and was forced to pedal the car. He was sky high near the traps running a 4.64 at 132 to Lamana’s 4.31 at 140.
Frank Meshaw put up another personal best, a 3.90at 195 to advance over Smith. The Fratena/Meshaw Racing Firebird is running hard this weekend for his associates Baskin Truck Sales, TRZ Motorsports, AMS 2000, Fuel Tech, Menscer Motorsports, Nelson Competition, O&J Performance and ATF Speed. He has to face an inconsistent Justin Swanstrom in round three but he is always a threat so it’s anyone’s guess for the final pairing in Pro 275.
Manny Buginga put down low ET in X275 round two with a4.278 at 167 to get past Charles Hull. He will face Gary White’s Supra in round three in what looks to be a tight match up on paper.
Haley James is doing well with her new car this weekend. The War Eagle ran hard to a 4.73 at 152 to take out Ray Cox’s Trans Am.
Heavy Street had it’s first round of eliminations today with number two qualifier Mike Schmidt facing off with David Boger. Schmidt shoock thetires some and drove through it to a 4.83 at 153 to earn his way to round two to face off with Captian Al Dopirak.
Dillon Voss could not grab traction in his match with Rick Griffen’s “Joker”, he went on to a 4.38 at 163 for the win.

Final Results

Pro Mod, Radial vs the World.
Pro 275, X275, Ultra Street, Heavy Street.
Outlaw 632, 5.50 Index, 6.50 Index.
6.50 Index, 5.90 Bike, 7.50 Index, Open Comp.
Open Comp, 7.90 Jr Dragster.

Pro Mod featured some tough racing this weekend with Lizzy Musi running the table on her way to victory to start off the 2020 season. She put up a string of 3.60’s and scored a perfect reaction against Johnny Camp in the semi final round when she needed it with Camp scoring a 3.68 at 205 to her winner 3.70. Dean Marinis was driving for Chad Green in the Pat Musi powered Corvette and made it to the semis from thirteenth position in the field to meet with Tommy D’Aprile in the Caruso backed Camaro where D’Aprile took a decisive round win with a .011 reaction on 3.66 at 203 that was good for lane choice. In the final he would again take the starting line advantage but slowed to a 3.70, with Musi right there running a 3.65 at 206 the Frank Brando backed team put up there best run of eliminations to earn a hard fought win. “She had to race every round and we knew we had to step it up for Tommy, we had to be careful when the track temp got up but we knew we could throw the coals to it in the final and got the win.” Pat Musi offered after it was all over.

“We are gonna run whatever PDRA races that don’t overlap with the No Prep Kings and I have about twenty races to go to myself with Chad Green running NHRA with his car…” Lizzy told us. “..We struggled during qualifying and put another engine in the car to get things sorted out. We use this race for testing and were trying stuff out and collecting data but struggled in the day time, it took us a while to figure what the car wanted here. I’m just glad to get a win with this car, it’s actually the first win with this car. I’m so excited for 2020, we have a great crew and we have DeanMarinis helping and Tommy Franklin was here this weekend too helping. None os this would be possible without the crew and Frank Brando who gives me the opportunity to drive this car, he has been with us for a long time and is going to be really happy for this won.”

Radial vs the World was simply on fire this weekend with no less than nine runs in the 3.50 during eliminations by four different cars, Steve Jackson, Kevin Rivenbark, Bryan Markiewicz and Melanie Salemi, who, while paired with Jackson in round three set the record for quickest side by side pair in Drag Radial history, Jackson with a 3.548 at 213 to Melanie’s 3.574 at 210. “Marcus is an awesome driver, we went .005, .008 on the tree in the final and were dead locked beside each other at the 330′, it was a good drag race and a great way to start 2020…” Jackson said after the race.

“Those guys have a top notch program, I’m glad to be part of it, Billy is doing a good job tuning the car, Robert and Jack are doing a good job keeping it bolted together and I don’t know of a better way to start a season off than an all team mate final” Jimmy Bradshaw, Tyler Crossnoe and the Bradenton staff had the track on kill and worked very hard all weekend to keep it that way and the performance of the cars, not just in this class, speaks volumes for track owner Victor Alvarez and his commitment to improving the facility, and the sport, as as one of Drag Illustrated’s picks for 30 under 30 2019. Nick Agostino has joined the ranks of Pro 275 for 2020 on the “Get in where you fit in” theory of heads up racing. His Camaro was built three years ago and set up for Outlaw 10.5 and Radial vs the World using a Vizner Engine Development small block Chevy based engine, now on version 3.0. “You know over the last three years as the weights have come down in RVW and things have changes in the class, now I’m not saying I can’t compete there but I’m telling you straight up that class ran straight over us and I’m almost two hundred pounds overweight now. So when Mark Micke said he might move over to Pro 275 I looked at the rules. When you compare the rules, the direct flip over from Outlaw 10.5 is Pro 275 now. So that is where we are. We came here untested on the tire and have played it safe with the tune ups learning how it works and how to bring the power on.” The team did just that running a best of 3.87 at 210 MPH during elimination to get by his long time friend, top qualifier and current record holder (3.839) Ron Green in round two.

“I’m happy to see the car working well after the changes we made in the winter to our program..” Rob Goss said after earning a hole shot victory over Gary White in the final. The Titan Motorsports Supra was the car to beat this weekend after running a string of 4.20’s at 175 MPH but Goss had their number putting up a .025 reaction to White’s .065. Goss ripped a 4.28 at 168 in the final, just beating White’s 4.273 to the stripe as the pair motored their way down the surface at Bradenton Motorsports Park. “Hole shot wins fell really good, it’s incredibly satisfying. We had a great weekend, everything came together. You unload the car and don’t know what to expect after making even small changes and when it starts working and doing what you ask of it it feels good and it rewarding for all the efforts that go into the program from everyone involved.” Goss uses a Procharger equipped Hemi from BES with Brice Maichle from High Horse Performance as crew chief with further backing from Rhodes Custom Auto, Coan, Hartline Performance, Fragola fitting and hoses, HPH Fabrication, TRZ Motorsports, Fuel Tech, The Brake Man, Santhuffs, and Ross Pistons.

Kirt Sanders got here late and had just one qualifier landing third and opening eliminations with a pair of 4.66’s then sailed through to the event win meeting with Haley James in the final. Haley and the Hellion B Team brought the their War Eagle in NMRA Renegade trim to test for the upcoming season and did the impossible by making it to the finals in a field full of sharks. Luck went her way in the semis against number one qualifier Brian Keep who rolled the beams due to an electrical issue. She was out first on Sanders but the car kept climbing the ring gear, forcing James to to pedal it and Sanders to slide by to an easy 4.74 at 150. “Special thanks to my crew, my girlfriend Ruth, Terry Kouns, and Brad Cox my tuner. We keep it simple and had no problems this weekend. We we ran a best of 154 miles per hour this weekend, she really pulls hard once I grab high gear. It’s great to start the season with a win and I am really proud of my team for giving me a consistent car I can be confident it will do what it’s supped to when I let go of the button.” Sanders uses a Nelson Competition built big Chevy with BES prepped heads and a PKRE nitrous system.

Heavy Street featured a new racer competing this weekend with Kyle Salminen taking the wheel of the families Camaro for his first time in competition after finishing up his licensing runs during qualifying. He nabbed the number one qualifier position and didn’t look back and meeting up with Veteran racer Mike Schmidt, who qualified second, in the final round. Both cars formerly competed in Outlaw 632 with some rule revisions changing the nature of Heavy Street it was a good fit for some racers to make the switch as that class has progressed into the 4.20’s regularly it was hard for some teams to compete at that level. Schmidt is a smart racer and played his cards close but suffered on the tree this weekend. Schmidt ran it hard on a semi final single looking for lane choice and came just short with a 4.51 at 154 after Salminen got past Austin Stephens running a 4.503 at 162. He pushed the tree hard earning a foul start and event runner up to Salminen’s 4.44 at 159 MPH winning run. “The weekend was surreal being in a car this fast and winning the here at US Street, I almost can’t believe it…” Kyle said. Before driving this car he had only run as fast at 10 second quarter mile ET’s and did some limited testing last year to prepare. “It’s really something to be in a car this fast, I love it, I don’t want to get out. When is the next race?” Winner circle photo courtesy BME Photography.

Black Flag Motorsports driver Walter Lannigan Jr. wheeled the team’s 1953 Corvette to an Outlaw 632 win this weekend coming from the number three position to meet Rick Griffen’s “The Jester” in the final round. Walter scored a hole shot win to get there in the semi final over Ken Kershaw running near identical ET at 4.362 to Kershaw’s 4.361. Griffen was no slouch and has made significant improvement to his program since getting hooked up with tuner Dave Hanlon and is his first final round appearance with the car. Griffen pushed the tree in the final going – .004 red to end his weekend but the team is happy with the performance and their showing. The Black Flag Motorsports team had a hard weekend running two cars with team mate Chris Holdorf qualifying second.

The N/T winner is Bill Futch based out of Miami, Florida driving the twin turbo big block Mustang from Futch/Zaldivar Racing. The team came from the Outlaw 10.5 ranks and moved to Radial vs the World and has sat out for a couple of years before re grouping and entering the No Time game with this car.

Stevie Fast dropped the hammer on the Radial Vs The World field with a booming 3.546 pass during the fourth round of qualifying.
We spoke with Charlie White from Adam Flamholc’s crew to get updated on their progress this morning. The team had a long night after breaking a rod during qualifying on Friday, having to run back to the shop and assemble a new short block till 4:30 AM and is here on three hours sleep, firing the car about 9:15 this morning. They are qualified fifteenth with a 3.77 at 203  after a nice run in the final session today after a change to the schedule.
Bubba Stanton has been racing near his home and some in Dallas last year and this is his first time at Bradenton in three years. He changed the car up to run Pro Mod here, slowing things down with lower boost and at 2,450 pounds, a full 150 pounds heavier than he is used to running. He scored a 3.81 on his first full run with this set up yesterday and has some good data to work with today. From left to right, Jason Hutcheson, Bubba Stanton and his father Danny.

Tommy Youmans from McIntyre, Georgia owns this stunning 1970 GTO entered in Pro 275. The car debuted at SGMP’s No Mercy last year where Youmans has an unfortunate incident with the wall and was just completed with repairs and fired up last week. It features a 505 cubic inch Pontiac engine with Kauffman billet block and cast Warp 6 War Chief heads making 3.350 RWHP on the hub dyno at Fuel Tech. He is qualified so far with a 4.10 at 181 MPH with plenty of power left to go and is looking to break into the threes here this weekend. The car was built using replacement body panels from National Parts Depot and fiberglass from VFN with Youmans melding the fenders and hood into a one piece lift off assembly, Tom Dobson and Mod Rods in Macon, Georgia.

One of the more interesting cars here this weekend is this Chevy Nova driven by J.R. Lazic. We met J.R. Last year at SGMP and the team recently completed this car featuring a roots blown LS engine from JS Powersports with the chassis build done by Rob at Diversified Metal Works. It has a cast RHS block topped with billet Noonan heads backed by a Rossler transmission and Coan converter making 1,500 RWHP spinning the tires on JS Powersports dyno.

The build has been about a three year process in an effort to be a little different from the heard. The car has been converted to a triangulated 4 link, Fox body Mustang style rear suspension. They have not made a full pass yet while working the bugs out f the new combo but qualified so far with a 4.83 at 127 lifting at 3.8 seconds in the run and have a new pulley coming this morning via UPS to increase the boost. Teh crew from left to right is Darryl from JS Powersports, J.R. Lazic and his father Roy Lazic.

Steve Green has a brand new car prepped for N/T Racing by Cameron Johnson Race Cars out of Lakeland, Florida. Steve is based out of Opelika, Alabama with team Silverback Racing. The team has been grudge racing for about three years and decided to get serious and commission a new car. He runs a small block nitrous combo and is debuting the new build here this weekend.
We spoke with Eric Luzinski from Titan Motorsports to get up to speed on the teams Supra. He is the crew chief and does the tuning and set up on the car as well as running EZ Motorsports manufacturing clutches. He took over AFT Clutches about two years ago and has a large market int he import market and some European Pro Mod cars. This cars runs a four disc set up behind the billet 2JZ Titan block. Gary White put down another 4.27 in the final session and stays in second spot behind Rob Goss.  From left to right, Adil, Gary and Eric.
The heads up field is set for all classes with Lizzi Musi on top of Pro Mod this weekend with a 3.62 at 206 MPH and David Monday rounding out the top ten cars with a 3.70 at 205. We are runnign a thirty two car field so it will be an all run class with plenty of room for “upsets” down the ladder as there is plenty of fast cars here that are just getting started on the 2020 season and working out new combinations.
As we mentioned earlier Steve Jackson ripped off a 3.54 at 231 in a side by side match with team mate Marcus Birt who scored a 3.587 at 205, I believe that makes the quickest side by side pass in drag radial history. Radial vs the World will also be an all run field.
Mark Woodruff got behind the wheel of his Corvette today after Craig Sullivan handled the driving on Friday. He sits in ninth with a 3.71 at 212 MPH. He will face off with George Williams out of Mastic, New York. He put up a 3.81 at 194.
Chris Perry is running his Camaro in LDR trim and testing for Lights Out. He has improved his program recently and dropped some weight before this race with some carbon body panels. His 4.11 1t 191 put him in the field at eighteenth and face off with Bryan Markiewicz who ran a personal best 3.61 at 207.
The Jewels have run the car around New York and Ohio for about three years in an Outlaw 10.5 series. The car has a conventional big block Chevy with twin Garret 88 MM turbos built by his brother at RLJ Racing with chassis built built by Randy at his shop, RJ Pro Fab.
Don Burton has his new car out this weekend and is doing well so far with a 4.14 at 182. He is working on going A to B with a soft 60', turing the power on around one hundred feet out and you can tell it's coming on strong. Burton will face Mark Micke in their first weekend on the 275 tire. We spoke with Mark last night. He said they are just learning the smaller tire right now and are pleased with the 3.91 at 200 they qualified with. They tried running an .80 last night and lost the tire near 100 feet out but are confidant with the Malibu that has been a staple OL 10.5 and Drag Radial racing since the 90's.

“I love racing in Florida this time of year, the fans are all excited, everybody has been cooped up for the winter, tired of all the holidays and ready to burn the score boards down…” Steve Jackson opened up to us after his record setting pace in the final session this afternoon. We caught up with Jackson during first round eliminations of Ultra Street after a racer spun out and knocked the 330′ blocks over. The NHRA Pro Mod champ told everyone he was coming down south to burn em down and he did and word is more is in store. “Tommorow is gonna be awesome, we are gonna have just as good air, Marcus Birt in my nitrous car is haling butt qualifying number two, Shadow is number one and I haven’t been the drag radial record holder in a long time and it feels good….the nitrous combination right now is, I think, for sure the most unexplored and easiest to run. We haven’t nearly seen the limit of what that nitrous combo can run.” he said. Good money is on the record being re-set again here this weekend and the KTR team is looking to chop some heads.

Plans for the team after this event will be Lights Out, then the World Door Slammer Nationals in Orlando with the NHRA car and NHRA Pro Mod and running The Shadow in some stand alone events like this and sprinkle them in for fun throughout the year. Billy Stocklin is on the key board and Robert Johnson and Jack Barbie crewing on the car with Drew McLure and Phil Shuler has come on board full time and will be splitting time between The Shadow and Bill Whitely’s J&A Service NHRA Pro Mod that Jackson is crew chief for. “It’s going to be a really exciting year, we have a lot of irons in the fire and the best part is I’ll be at a race track about forty weekends this year, it’s gonna be good nobody loves drag racing on the planet more than me.” – Steve Jackson, shown with Billy Stocklin at right.

The stands were packed today as we went into round one of eliminations.

Round One Results

Eric Gustafson scored low ET in round one of Pro Mod running a 3,673 at 194 on a single run in his PTP Tuned Procharger equipped Coast Packing sponsored Camaro.
Kevin Rivenbark earned his way to round two with low ET at 3.590 at 208 to get by Joe Rivera.
John McDonough from Panama City, Florida  purchased the car from Terry Elam and has limited time on the car, basically debuting at the Orlando World Street Finals last year. He was qualified fourth and had a single in the round, letting it eat to the tune of 4.29 at 169.

[nextpage title=”Friday”]

Cars have been testing here since Tuesday getting ready to kick off the 2020 season and we have plenty of fast cars on the property including several new cars and combinations making their debut here this weekend. It’s the first time back for X275 here at the US Street Nationals and Pro 275 is making their debut with some new players and heavy hitters making the move from Radial vs. the World which will also be running here this weekend.

We spoke with Pro Fab Performance’s Matt LaRue about Don Lamana’s new Corvette, “In-Decisive”. Don will run in Pro 275 this year with Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Procharged Hemi power. He made three test laps so far making a 1.02 60′ and 2.68 to the 330′ clicking it early at 2.1 seconds in the run. They are tuning the new combo with Wade from Southern Speed on the key board and making small steps with the new combo after running a TT Mustang in the class previously.
Jeff Rudolf has had his Jeffers built Pro Modified Camaro going on two years now and now features a Pro Line engine combo. He ran well at the Orlando World Street Nats last year scoring a 3.66 but sheared an axle that ended their weekend. “We are coming back stranger for 2020 with some bigger axles and some extra parts to keep us going, I’m hoping we will qualify in the top of the field today if we can stay on course from our last runs.” – Jeff Rudolf.
The Galot Motorsports crew has already run in the 3.50’s this week with Kevin Rivenbark laying down a 3.57 during testing showing they are right on track at the top of the class in Radial vs the World and ready for 2020.
Randy Weatherford is running well today sitting on top of the Pro Mod field with a 3.67 at 203 MPH. Weatherford won in Orlando last year and will be looking to score another win here to kick off his 2020 season.

David Reese has teamed up with Rick Thornton and will run a three car effort for 2020 with El Diablo 2.0 in Radial vs the World and Peanut, a split window Corvette in Pro 275 as well as some Mid West Pro Mod series, and Rick has another car under construction at Reese Bros Race Cars for RVW, this one a C-7 Corvette. All three are powered by small block engine combos with Rance Thornton behind the wheel of Peanut, he was getting acclimated to the car this week and getting license runs in here in Bradenton. Mark Menscer put the two together last year after Rick was looking for some help with some blower tuning and they meshed well together. “It’s been great so far…” David Reese told us this morning. “ We get along well and I have been doing what I can do to help them.” Thornton is based near Dallas but the team will run out of RBRC shop in Temple, Georgia.

David has a few laps on his new ride running a 3.74 on Thursday showing promise for the little small block after just a handful of passes while sorting the new Camaro. He landed third in the first session today with a 3.688 at 200 MPH.

Jason Hoard ran RVW for two years with his Camaro before switching to Pro 275 for his class debut this weekend. The car was originally built by Travis Strampher at Midwest Machine before being finished up by Dan Saitz at Hyperformance Motorsports. He has been 3.88 at 201 while testing on Tuesday. Hoard runs a 521 cubic in Brad 8 from Design Performance with twin 102 mm Precision turbos feeding all the boost to the little Hemi backed by an M&M Transmissions two speed TH 400 with no lockup. Jason and Tim Slavens pit together when they can and share data that is applicable as they have the same engine and trans combo, though Slavens has the lock up option in his car. He earned number four in the first session with a 3.96 at 199 MPH.
Tim Slavens had a little mishap while testing in Orlando about six weeks ago and is all fixed up thanks to the folks at TYDO Race Cars. The car needed a little front end work as well as some body repairs including new quarters, tail light valance and a new front end. Tim made it here to test and landed seventh in RVW with a 3.81 at 191.
No one is surprised team KTR is one and two in RVW with Steve Jackson and Marcus Birt running side by side in round one. Jackson leads with a 3.63 and Birt a 3.65, with both cars well over 200 MPH.
Ronnie Hobbs purchased Daniel Pharris car last October and took a win in the RWV Second Chance race at No Mercy then headed to Vegas for the Street Car Super Nats and earned the RVW win there as well. Since then Hobbs had the car wrapped in red to give it a fresh look. The team has been here in Bradenton this week testing and hurt an engine Thursday night, they took delivery of a fresh piece from Pro Line this morning and made the second round qualifying of Radial vs the World, at least as far as the water box as the car had a fueling issue and did not make a pass but there are three session still left.

Round One Qualifying Results

Tom Blincoe got loose and shot across the lane behind Kevin Rivenbark in round two of Radial vs the World taking a hard hit and careening across the track and bumping both walls. He was out of the car quickly but shaken up some. It was a short clean up with no fluids spilled as the David Monday Race Cars built Corvette did it's job to protect the driver.
Jason Harris is debuting the new Party Time Camaro here this weekend sporting a new Pro Line Racing Procharger combo under the hood. He is currently qualified twenty fifth with a 5.67 but that is sure to improve.
Eric Gustafson made the trip from Vernon, California to start his season landing fourth with a 3.699 at 202.
Gary Whitye has put theX275 class on notice that he and team Titan Motorsports is serious landing on top of X275 scoring a 4.32 at 172 showing they have not missed a beat since No Mercy.
Jonathan Atkins brought out The Grub Worm to have a try at X275 with his LT1 powered stick shift 97 Camaro. He recently installed a new class legal turbo and new clutch to prepare. He is workin gin the new disc to get to the “sweet spot” and looking to make waves and show what the little engine and stick shift trans can do.
Eric Leeper had a serious mishap pouring smoke out everywhere on his run and catching fire on the top end. Hopefully the damage is not as serious as it looked from the starting line.
So far Brian Keep is a mile in front of the Ultra Street class with a 4.599 at 149. He was on a roll at the end of 2019 and will surely be looking for a win at his home track this weekend.
Right now Outlaw 632 has sixteen cars in class with Robert Sellers sitting on top of the class with a 4.36 at 162.

Round Three Qualifying Results

Lizzy Musi jumped right to the top of the Pro Mod field in the third session today running a 3.62 at 206 MPH.
Marcus Birt jumped in front of Steve Jackson running a stellar 3.568 at 204 MPH to take over top qualifier in Radial vs the World during the third session. Not too far behind him was Jamie Hancock with a 3.605 at 201. Bryan Markiewicz also dipped into the .60’s running a 3.63. Rivenbark, David Reese and Ronnie Hobbs round out the top seven cars, all 3.69 or better showing the surface at Bradenton is up to the task of holding the quickest cars around.
Heidi Carlisle is entered in Radial vs the World driving the Corvette formerly campaigned by Jamie Hancock. Heidi and her husband live around the corner from the Hancocks and has competed in 6.0 Index and recently in some 4.70 Index racing. She is doing her licensing runs this weekend and ran a 5.11 in the third session. The car is now equipped with a nitrous fed 632 Chevy and recently had some upgrades to the shocks and suspension, new wheels and new converter.
