Last weekend the big dogs of Outlaw X275 rolled into Mooresville Dragway in North Carolina for a heads-up competition in some brutal weather conditions. With the heat of the day scorching the track, the conditions would prove to be trying for even the best of tuners and drivers. Twenty-one drivers took part in qualifying trying to stake their claim to fame with a number one qualifiers spot to take home plenty of bonus cash. For all the details and feedback from drivers check out the thread on Yellowbullet.
After the smoke cleared in qualifying it was the duo of the Bruder brothers backed by the legendary “Mustang Mike Modeste” taking the poll with a 4.83 at 157mph. Ziff Hudson in his Mercury Zephyr rounded out the top eight cars in the field and even on the lower half of the ladder were some heavy hitters like Tim Johnson and “Skinnyman” Matt Mungall. The field would be made an all run class so the drivers were positioned on a 32 car ladder for eliminations.

Final Round
The final round was set up to be a true shootout with the turbo-powered machine of Kolivas taking on the steamroller effort of the Bruder’s, who have been unstoppable just about everywhere they go. It was Johnny K taking the holeshot advantage at the tree with a nice .029 reaction time. Rich Bruder in the other lane was .047 at the tree and hot on Kolivas’ heels as they neared the stripe. Bruder’s ProCharger-equipped machine had enough to drive around the turbo Mustang on the big end, with Bruder posting a stellar 4.73 at 157mph to Johnny K’s 4.80 at 158mph.
