The NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series season-opener at Gainesville Raceway brought out drag racing legends, throngs of fans, and provided great racing action. There were plenty of old faces in new places across the pro categories. Anyone who was in attendance could feel the electricity in the air and could smell that new-season scent all weekend long.
Words can only go so far when it comes to describing the action at a drag strip. Photos help capture all the big moments and bring everything to life. Dragzine’s Mark Riker was at the Gatornations, and his gallery of photos paints a great picture of what the event was like.
