After the rain shortened round one yesterday we picked up where we left of with Outlaw Drag Radial. The chance of rain turned into a certainty causing a stoppage and couple of hour delay but smooth running and a lack of crashes helped us get the race wrapped up.

FINAL RESULTS
Tim Lynch and the Pro Line Racing crew put together 5 runs between 4.241 and 4.211 to earn the win Ultimate Converter Concepts Outlaw 10.5 at the 2012 No Mercy III, September to Remember. Hailing from Woodstock, Georgia he faced off with Coral Springs, Florida racer Mark Kyger in his twin turbocharged show stopper 66 Chevy II. Lynch took the advantage on the tree and laid down a 4.211 @ 183, his best pass of the day, to Kyger's 4.69 @ 167. New Port Richey, Florida resident got it done in Monte Smith/Holley/NOS Outlaw Radial through five rounds improving some each time till the finals where he lifted early after Will Stevenson lost the blower belt before the 330' after a 1.16 60'. After a round one single Stevenson got wins over Kerri Ann Beebe, and Robby Montgomery before setting low ET and a personal best 4.49 @ 166 in the semi final over Joel Greathouse before loosing the blower belt in the final. Rich Bruder earns another win in TCI/FAST X275 with his F1-X Procharged 88 Mustang. He qualified number two with a 4.669 @ 157 and set high MPH for the event with a 159.38 MPH blast behind Martin Connelley's big block nitrous combo but Connelley, and several other cars, were broken and the ladder adjusted accordingly. The New Jersey based Bruder Brothers Racing has either won or broke every race they have entered this year making for a lot of ups and downs, and expenses. Dustin had a consistant low 4.80 car and did his job on the tree every round gathering three holeshit wins including number two qualifier Terry Elam in the semi final and a 4.802 @ 151.92 best run of the weekend. Kevin Fiscusbested the rest of the X275 class in the $5,000 to win Automatic Transmission Factory X275 second chance race. Thirty six cars made it for first round with Barry Mitchell blasting a 155.01 best MPH in first round. Fiscus ran some low 4.90's and three singles to meet with Brian Tuten in the final where he put up a .032 light and a 4.991 @ 146 to Tuten's .053, 4.996 @ 148.85 earning the win. Bryan Marrow moved over to ProformanceTransmission/CAPSLOCK OIL Leaf Spring from Outlaw Radial at the last event here. it payed off in a big way for the Ft. Lauderdale, Florida racer. His F3-R Procharged 565 ci 79 Camaro ran the table in the class, qualifying number one with a 4.758 @ 158.71 MPH and earning high mile per hours on that run. His low ET 4.749 came in round three against John McDonough who fouled by just .003. Billet Atomizer Injectors/Media 1 Ultimate Street winner is one Robert Rodgers, the Southern Regional Manager at VP Racing Fuels. Driving Bruce the Roberts Mustang prepped by Eric Kenward, along with the guys from TRZ Motorsports, they also ran the table with low ET, number one qualifier with the new class record 5.075and high mile per hour. He took the tree on his earned single in round one, beat Bill Clary in the second with a 5.115 @ 142.57 for the high MPH and new record MPH, then got by former NMRA True Street racer Chris Lancaster's mod motor turbo 66 Mustang after getting beat on the tree. In the final he was late with a .179 reaction to Pennington's .002 but was able to get by with a 5.079 with both cars having their best elimination runs in the final. The combo is a Nelson Competition 427 small block Chevy owned by Rodgers with an FTI transmission and converter, the Wilson cross bar plate system was flowed by Kevin Neal form Junebug Nitrous. He runs a 432 ci small block Chevy on nitrous and is from Calera, Alabama. The car has seen competition in the now defunct ORSCA 7.00 and 6.00 before running here in Ultimate Street. Precision Turbo/ MacFab Beadlocks Outlaw 275 Winner Marty Stinnett from Kuttawa, Kentucky. Marty qualified ninth with a 4.805 @ 159 MPH running a twin turbo 96 Cobra with a 450 ci small block Ford and Proformance Transmission. In round three Stinnet faced off with John Kolivas putting up a 4.483 class record to get around him after getting beat on the tree by .012. An .026, 4.488 @ 168.51 pass against "The" Kevin Mullins who went red by .003. The "El Diablo" hatchback Mustang runs out of the Harrell Engine Shop with Blue Thunder heads on a small block Ford with a single turbo with a reducer.

PTC Radial vs. the World Winner Kyle Huettel put his 894 ci Fulton beast in the winners circle after qualifying in 16th with a 4.575 @ 162. He met up with Steve Jackson in round two putting a tree on him and running a 4.304 @ 175 for the nitrous ET record, sending Jackson to the trailer early. A 4.32 in the next round took out the double entered and Outlaw Radial winner Scott Husted. In the final he would meet Yellow Bullet Nationals Radial winner Frank Soldridge who was .002 better on the tree. Last night there were lots of side-by-side runs as the track was coming around after the sun went down. Scotty G and Steve Jackson had their cars on kill with Jackson knocking the tires looking for a 4.2X while Scotty had his hooked up but pulled the front just a bit too high, forcing him to shut it down early.
Lenco Jim always works hard at these events. At the gate, in the pits getting work done of trackside for the T shirt toss shown here.Sean Ashe lost a rod testing on Thursday in the ATF Mustang. Jason Gatlin and crew tore it down, took the block to a local machine shop to get a couple of the cylinders fixed up, had a new set of connecting rods delivered last night and made qualifying today. Ashe jumped right in with a 4.73. Rich Bruder ripped off a 4.669 but was bested by the BBC nitrous combo of Martin Connelley by .oo7 with a 4.662 at1 48.
Big E Racing aka "Team Lorax" out of Natchez Mississippi runs this '67 Camaro in Proformance/Capslock Oil Leaf Spring with a 588 big block force fed by twin 88mm turbos. Car owner Big E built the engine which is tuned by Quicktime Motorsports and driven by David Wilson. They had to replace the transmission and need a clean run in the final session. They got it with a 5.05 @ 157 for 9th in the field.

Keith Berry did make the field in the last session with a 4.71 after running a 4.58 this morning testing in 6.50 index. He is very happy to qualify in one of the toughest fields to date with a brand new car.The Cook County High School Marching Hornets were invited out to do the national anthem. Truly a unique experience.

Today is the first day of qualifying here at No Mercy III, September to Remember at SGMP in Cecil Georgia. We have 73 X275 cars entered so far and 22 Outlaw Drag Radial cars made runs in the first round of qualifying. Today’s qualifying order will be 7.50, 6.50 then 5.70 index and Open Comp. Heads-up qualifying starts off with Ultimate Converter Concepts OL 10.5, Holley/NOS/Monte Smith Outlaw Radial, TCI/FAST X275, Proformance Transmissions/Capslock Oil Leaf Spring, Billet Atomizer Injectors/ Media 1 Ultimate Street, Precision Turbo/MacFab Beadlocks Outlaw 275 vs. 28’s, PTC Radial vs. the World and 4.70 index will wrap up each round.

Mark Woodruff swaps on some new tires this morning for his '67 Corvette running Radial vs. the World this weekend. He hails from St Louis with a Sonny Leonard 522 semi-Hemi Chevy fed by twin 94mm Precision turbos. Chassis by Rob Mathias. VP Race Fuels, Hyperactive Solutions, Racepak, Micky Thompson, Mark Micke transmissions and Pro Torque Converters are on board.
Enzo Pecchini made the ride from Canada with his Procharged Hemi Mustang. He also runs Radial vs. the World. Al Billes built the engine, chassis by J.R. Racecraft. They're still working bugs out of the car but had a clean hit to the 330' last night.
Joe Johnson out of Texas is running Outlaw 275 this weekend with a pair of turbos reduced to 80 MM. Hans Fuestal built the small block Chevy engine.

Kevin Neal drove Jason Rueckert's Cutlass to a 4.54 at 164 during Radial vs. the World qualifying. Tim Knieriem built the conventional headed 565 BBC. The boost comes from an F3R-136 Procharger. Jason is currently 7th in Outlaw Drag Radial with a 4.65 @ 160.Steve Jackson slowed just a bit from last nights 4.36 - qualifying number one with a 4.38 at 178.MacFab Beadlocks is on site doing conversions and have been very busy today.John Iannuzzi had a nice wheels-up launch on his way to a 4.83 at 153, good for 12th in PTC Radial vs. the World.

Attillio DeRosa has been working with TRZ Motorsports developing and fabricating some new and/or improved specialty parts. Shown here is the AAPerformance upper control arm mount cross member for Fox body Mustangs. Built from light weight chromoly, this replaces the upper control arm mounts in a stock body car and allows for a wide range of adjustment.Jason Enos set low ET for 10.5 in round one qualifying with a 4.244 at 185. The top five remain unchanged after round two.

One of the big stories of the week goes to Steve Jackson and the Killin Time Racing crew. Jackson crashed at the Yellow Bullet Nationals Labor Day weekend and the crew worked hard to get it repaired and back on track in just 20 days. Much of the work was done at Teddy Houser Race Cars. Earlier today he ran a 4.47 at 177 with a 1.19 60'.
Keith Berry has the Wooo! mobile on the property for it's race debut. The show quality Corvette has been transformed from an LS-powered X275 car into a Radial vs. The World car with a Proline Race Engines twin turbo big block powerhouse. A full feature will be forthcoming here on Dragzine.Here Tony Ridenour is paired up with Mel Nelson during testing this afternoon. Ridenour just switched from a Procharged set up to twin turbos with Steve Petty still on the keyboard tuning it up. Proformance Transmissions and Pro Torque converters are also on board.
Another car now with twins is the Chevy Cobalt owned by Willard Kinzer and driven by Jeff Lutz in Outlaw 10.5.Gary White and team Titan Motorsports is in the house running Outlaw 10.5 this weekend.Jody Voyles has his Camaro in Ultimate Street this weekend. Class rules require the standard Mickey Thompson 275 radial. This is his first time on the tires and netted a 5.18 earlier today.Well well, it seems Max Rider did indeed make it here this weekend with his car. His first pass today he was paired up with none other than Rich Bruder, and though it is early in the weekend, Max took the stripe with a 4.75 at 151 MPH for the nitrous small block combo to Bruders' 4.96 at 156.

Jason Etheridge runs this 2001 Mustang built by Jimmy Blackmon at Straightline Chassis. He runs a Proline 632 with twin 94mm turbos, his best run is a 4.50. They were testing recently at Holly Springs and broke this 40-spline Strange axle and will be running Radial vs. the World this weekend. He runs a Keith Neal trans using Coan parts and a Pro Torque converter.
NMCA LSX racer Mike Meeks brought his carbon wrapped new gen Camaro to compete this weekend. He runs a LSX combo on nitrous and ran a 4.99 during today's testing.Kurt Borton has the "Almond Assassin" Ford Futura running X275 with an F1-X Procharged mod motor combination. A clean and easy 5.23 run this morning resulted in a blown out back window that they were replacing with lexan when I stopped by their pits. I first met these guys at NMRA Spring Break Shootout a few years ago running True Street with this car.Another racer from the True street ranks on hand is Chris Lancaster. He won NMRA Bradenton with this same car earlier this year with a string of consistent 8.0's. He is running Ultimate Street this weekend.

This group of guys race together out of the Mississippi/Alabama border area. The Blazer is owned by Ray Ladnier and competing in Leaf Spring with his 18-degree 406 Chevy force fed by a 118mm turbo with Patrick Barnhill lending a hand with the tune. The car was built by himself and Keith Fern with chassis work by Lavern Ferrouaillat. Paul Naquin is pitted next door with a 434 ci SBF and twin 88's running OL275. The car, engine and trans was built by Naquin. Don Thing hails from Mobile, Alabama with his Outlaw 275 nitrous sniffing 572 ci BBC Vega. The Vega is a fully tagged and insured street car and has been 5.40's on local tracks. Robert Rogers from VP Race Fuels is driving this Mustang this weekend in Ultimate Street. Eric Kenward had been driving recently and maintains the car as well and has been working with Kevin Neal's June Bug Nitrous. Rogers ran a 5.08 and a 5.06 today.This bright Green and black Fox body owned by Alfred Castro. Today Larry Valadez is driving with Smiley Cordero taking over tomorrow. They hail from Texas and this is their first Radial Revolution event. The 632 big block Chevy was built by Alfred and a friend. Twin pro mod 94's pressurize the engine.The quickest man on radials, Kenny Hubbard, made a couple of hits today in the 4.70's after spinning on his first attempt.Brad Edwards is sporting a new paint job recently. He was paired up with Kevin Cram this afternoon and got the best of the Chevy with a 4.54 at 172 to Cram's 4.71 @ 162.Steve Jackson left lane, Frank Soldrige right lane, two of the best runs of the day in Radial vs. the World, and side by side no less, gotta love it.

This is the most talked about car here.Jason Enos laid down a 4.27 at 185 in Outlaw 10.5 testing.Martin Connelley managed a 4.70 at 154 tonight with his nitrous big block Chevy in X275. I believe this was the quickest run today for the class.Scotty G and the Jet Blue crew unloaded a 4.43 at 168 on radials for Radial vs.the World.Ari Birchfield hangs it out in Enrique Perez' X275 small block nitrous powered Mustang. The team is from Miami, Florida.Bad 9er Kyle Hutell out of Texas lights the fire in his Fulton powered LS/Radial vs.the World Camaro. The result was a 4.35.Wheelies...yes we have them and we are just getting started..Joel Greathouse could be poised to reset his own OL275 record this weekend while driving for John Kolivas after this 4.54 at 171 MPH blast. The current record is a 4.56.Kevin Neal is driving Jason Reuckert's Procharged Cutlass this weekend.
