Ida Zetterström is set to kick off her 2026 NHRA Mission Foods Drag Racing Series campaign in a big way on one of the sport’s most unique stages, with a new team and a new tech-driven partner.

The Top Fuel driver will make her season debut at the NHRA 4-Wide Nationals, April 24–26 at zMAX Dragway in Concord, North Carolina. The event marks Zetterström’s first race of the year and her debut appearance with Shawn Reed Racing, signaling the start of a new chapter in her rapidly evolving NHRA career.

Zetterström’s move to Shawn Reed Racing brings together a rising talent and a competitive independent Top Fuel program looking to make a statement early in the season.

“We’re excited to have Ida in the car for Charlotte,” said Shawn Reed, owner of Shawn Reed Racing. “She’s the real deal, and this is a great opportunity to make a strong statement together as a team. It’s also great to welcome GlobalSKU to the program and to the sport. This is exactly the kind of partnership that helps move our program forward.”

While the Charlotte outing is currently a one-race agreement, it carries significant importance. For Zetterström, it’s a chance to showcase both performance and marketability as she continues to secure additional partners for an expanded 2026 schedule.

Joining Zetterström for her 2026 debut is new primary partner GlobalSKU, an AI-powered commerce platform entering NHRA drag racing for the first time.

GlobalSKU’s technology is built around speed and efficiency, two qualities that translate directly to the demands of Top Fuel racing. The platform allows users to scan products using image recognition, instantly identify items, analyze real-time market pricing, and generate ready-to-publish listings across multiple online marketplaces.

That alignment between technology and motorsports made the partnership a natural fit.

“I’m incredibly proud to partner with GlobalSKU and Shawn Reed Racing for my first race of the season,” said Zetterström. “GlobalSKU is bringing something completely new into our sport, and I love how their focus on speed, efficiency, and innovation aligns with what we do in Top Fuel. For me, it’s about building partnerships that go beyond the racetrack, and this is a great example of that.”

For GlobalSKU founder Gary Stephens, the partnership represents an opportunity to introduce the platform to a new, performance-driven audience.

“The entire GlobalSKU team is thrilled to partner with Ida Zetterström and Shawn Reed Racing. They embody the precision, accuracy, and speed the GlobalSKU app gives all its users,” said Stephens. “Entrepreneurs to Enterprises. What a thrill to make our entrance into NHRA with this team. We can’t wait to see where this partnership takes us with Ida at the wheel.”

Backing Zetterström’s effort at zMAX Dragway will be a mix of established and new partners, reflecting the continued growth of her program. Returning supporters VP Racing Fuels and Dodge will be joined by Simpson Racing and Bandero Tequila, adding depth to a program that continues to attract both performance and lifestyle brands.

A strong performance at the 4-Wide Nationals could help unlock additional sponsorship opportunities, expand her racing schedule, and further establish her presence in one of the most competitive classes in drag racing. With a new team, innovative backing, and a proven track record of success, all eyes will be on Zetterström as she begins her 2026 NHRA campaign.
