Hurricane Isaias may have bumped Duck X Productions No Mercy 17 back on the calendar, but it couldn’t stop the great racing action at South Georgia Motorsports Park (SGMP) forever. The Radial Outlaws Racing Series (RORS) needed to crown champions, and Donald Long needed to hand out the most prized trophy in all of radial racing: the trademark black Duck hat.

Not a single RORS championship had been locked up coming into No Mercy 17, and with double points in play, every round mattered. When it was time to start parking cars in the winner’s circle for pictures, the racers who earned the right to be there had done so through hard work.

Radial vs. The World

Ken Quartuccio Jr. parked his Camaro at the top of the Radial vs. The World qualifying sheet once again at No Mercy 17. His mission was simple: capture another RORS RVW title, and he did just that. Quartuccio earned his second RORS RVW championship, and he also picked up a victory in the $10,000-to-win RVW Shootout that was held during qualifying.

A series of blistering runs in the 3.40s put Quartuccio in the final round against Chris Daniel and kept his hopes alive for a total sweep of RVW at No Mercy 17. In the final frame, Quartuccio’s 3.48 wasn’t enough to overcome Daniel’s 3.46 run.

Pro 275

Coming into No Mercy 17, the chase to win the RORS title in Pro 275 was wide open. Defending RORS champion Grantley Schloss qualified No. 2 but was on the tough side of the ladder. In the semifinal round, Schloss squared off against Mo Hall in a winner-takes-all battle for the RORS championship. Schloss took out Hall on a holeshot and secured the Pro 275 title.

Standing in Schloss’ way for a sweep of Pro 275 at No Mercy 17 was Michael Nale. In the final, Nale ran a 3.63, and that was enough to beat Schloss, who had issues.

Limited Drag Radial

Jamie Hancock arrived at No Mercy 17 as the defending series champion and RORS points leader in Limited Drag Radial (LDR), and he was ready to go back-to-back. Hancock took care of business and was able to wrap up the LDR RORS title early in eliminations.

Brian Weddle is a star in the PDRA’s Pro Street division, but he decided to bolt on some radials and make the trip to SGMP for No Mercy 17. The Weddle camp struggled at times during the weekend and sacrificed some parts to the blower gods, but ultimately was able to score the LDR win on Sunday.

X275

X275 is one of the toughest classes you can find in the radial world. Davey Hull is plenty tough himself: he’s defeated cancer, gotten back into his turbocharged Mustang, and won the X275 RORS title for the 2026 season.

DJ and Ryan McCain have gone from watching radial events at SGMP to competing in them and winning a few along the way. DJ put on a driving clinic during X275 eliminations, while his brother Ryan put some big tune-ups in the family’s Corvette. In the final, DJ McCain had to square off against Trevor Fuqua, who had been laying down some impressive numbers all weekend. McCain ripped off a 4.05 to Fuqua’s 4.09, which was not only enough to pick up the win but also reset the X275 nitrous record.

Ultra Street

Jessie Coulter showed up to SGMP ready to defend his Ultra Street RORS championship. Ronnie Rhodes had his eyes on the Ultra Street title as well, plus he held the points lead going into the event. When Rhodes went out in the second round, Coulter’s fate was in his own hands. Coulter was able to make it to the final round to earn his second RORS Ultra Street title.

In the final of Ultra Street at No Mercy 17, Coulter faced No. 7 qualifier, Joshua Schwartz. When the tree dropped, Schwartz cut a .018 light to best Coulter’s .022 reaction time and never looked back. Schwartz’s 4.43 was enough to hold off Coulter’s 4.46 and bring home the Ultra Street win at No Mercy 17.

X255

Robert Strong has raced his Monte Carlo in a variety of classes over the years, but has found a home in X255. During the 2026 RORS season, Strong was extremely consistent, and that allowed him to bring home the RORS X255 title.

Brad Scherer is a threat to win any race he enters. At No Mercy 17, Scherer put together a string of fast runs that were enough for him to win the event and bring home another black Duck hat.

Wicked Gangster

Wicked Gangster, a 5.30 index class, made its debut as a RORS championship class in 2026. Maddie Malone was able to earn the first title in this class at No Mercy 17. Scotty Lowell put in the work and was able to win his first black Duck hat at No Mercy 17 in Wicked Gangster.
