PRI 2011: Allstar Performance Adds A Twist to the Quick Change Cover

We talked to Brent Walker of Allstar Performance at the PRI trade show and Walker was pretty excited about the latest product developed by the Allstar team. According to Walker, “These are so new, we don’t have any fliers on them and they aren’t even on our website yet.”

What’s got the Allstar Performance crew so happy? Their new quick change cover is filled with Allstar’s normal level of quality but they have added a new twist to the design… bolts that are retained in the housing.

The Allstar Performance quick change rear end cover has all the quality features that people have come to expect with the added twist of having retaining bolts that are secured to the cover.

“You can use an impact wrench and pull this cover off quickly without having to worry about the mounting bolts falling in the gear oil catch pan or dirt in the pits. The bolts are secured to the cover,” said Walker.

The mounting bolts are held captive in the cover.

Quick change gear box covers have been around for decades and as far as we can remember, no one else has added a feature like this before which makes the venerable gear box cover an area where a new feature would be long overdue.

Walker demonstrated by holding the cover upside down.

“As far as we know, there is no one else manufacturing a quick change gearbox cover with this feature,” said Walker, “We are the first.”

Finishing first is what racing is all about and Allstar Performance has the lead on this one coming out of turn four to the checkers.
