We’re just going to call it: the 2022 edition of the Performance Racing Industry show in Indianapolis features the greatest collection of drag racing machinery in the history of the show. If not the history of the show, certainly of the last many, many number of years. Not only is the caliber of cars on hand just over-the-top, but the ratio of drag racing vehicles to every other form of motorsport is so significant that you just might start to wonder if this is purely a drag racing show. And if it were, we’d be okay with that.
Everything is represented here, from all four of the NHRA’s professional eliminators, many of its sportsman categories, Street Outlaws No Prep Kings, X275, drag-and-drive competition, Pro Modified, imports, drag bikes, outlaw big-tire cars, and so much more, it’s just one big car show, it’s just one impressive mashup of straight-line badassery.
As we do each and every year, we’ve covered almost every inch of the Indiana Convention Center to grab the cars, trucks, and bikes that have turned up for the industry’s biggest trade event, so we can bring them to those of you back home. So, enjoy!
