Worm clamps might work just fine for stock street car builders, but if you are building anything with a serious amount of boost, you know the drill: you need V-bands, Vanjen, or HD clamps. Until now, getting that security meant taking a saw to the compressor housing on your brand-new turbo and carefully welding on a mating surface. Turbosmart’s ingenious lock sleeve eliminates this common practice entirely. Available in 2.5- and 3-inch sizes, this part uses a series of threaded collars and seals to create a leak-proof connection without ever touching a TIG torch.

The design is so simple it’s kind of genius. The Top Ring is a threaded collar that slides onto the compressor outlet. The Sealing Rings are then sandwiched between the Top Ring and the Bottom Ring to seal in the boost. It’s rated to hold up to 150 psi. The Bottom Ring threads onto the Top Ring, giving your HD clamps something to grab onto. No welding required. And if you need to make a sharp turn out of the compressor, the lock sleeve system offers a 90-degree elbow option that adds another Locking Ring on the other end. It’s a simple, incredibly useful part that saves time and money on fabrication while cleaning up the look of your cold-side piping.

Turbosmart also pulled the covers off a host of other new gear at SEMA 2025. The Boost Hub is designed to be a central command center for your electronics, taking inputs from flex-fuel, EGTs, and OBD-II to control boost or methanol injection. Then there is the eBoost 3, the next-gen controller that improves on the popular eBoost 2 with a full-color display, programmable warning lights, and tuning by rpm, Time, and Gear. Finally, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the D-Frame 88/92. This bad boy is their largest turbo offering yet, capable of putting over 1,200 horsepower to the wheels. Whether you need the new lock sleeve to simplify your plumbing or a massive turbo to make the power, Turbosmart has the hardware to make it happen.
