New events are always exciting. Nicholas Amaral, driver of the Wild_Evo, and the RRT Motorsports Team created Wild In The Valley to give racers from the Northeast a chance to have some heads-up racing fun at Lebanon Valley Dragway.

Billed as an event built by racers for racers, Wild In The Valley featured a wide variety of classes. Outlaw RWD, AWD vs. RWD, Stick Shift, Street, FWD, and 9.50, 10.50, and 11.50 index classes were all on the dance card at Wild In The Valley.

Racers were supposed to get two qualifying shots on Friday, but after Mike Wohler’s serious crash, the remainder of Q2 was canceled. Saturday morning, the racers hit the track again for one more qualifying shot before eliminations began.

Here’s who brought home wins at the inaugural Wild In The Valley:

  • Outlaw RWD: Myron Smith
  • FWD: Jowell Torres
  • AWD vs. RWD: Steve Zsigray
  • Street: Ethan Merrow
  • Stick Shift: Kyle Quiterio
  • 11.50: Ralph Blackburn
  • 10.50: Camden Morgano
  • 9.50: Alex Erickson

Grassroots events are critical to the growth of drag racing. Every big event had to start somewhere, so that’s why it’s great to see events like Wild In The Valley come to life. Make sure you watch the Wild_Evo page for updates about the next edition of Wild In The Valley.
