As the 2010 Camaro approaches one year on market, the horsepower numbers continue to climb as tuners get their stride. Where a few months ago 700 horsepower seemed impressive, tuners are now aiming for quadruple power digits to really stand out. At least one tuner has taken their customer’s Camaro over the 1,000 horsepower mark. Since it’s based on the tried and true LSX platform, the power numbers aren’t shocking, but they are impressive.
Camaro5 broke the story of the ADM Performance built Camaro with 910 horsepower and 1,000 ft-lbs of torque at the rear wheels.

The build began with a Lingenfelter Performance Engineering 427 engine, a stout engine in and of itself. Stock, this engine comes with aluminum LS7 heads, titanium connecting rods, a forged steel crankshaft, a Magnuson TVS 2300 supercharger, and a high flow air intake. Untouched, this engine makes 750 horsepower and 685 ft-lbs of torque on 93 octane. ADM took the engine a step further by adding their own high flow air box, a custom cog drive for the supercharger, and a nitrous system.
Without the nitrous kit, the Camaro put 750 horsepower and 800 ft-lbs of torque on a 114 octane. With a 125 shot the numbers jumped to 910 horsepower and 1,000 ft-lbs of torque at 16 psi on the supercharger while idling like a stock car and being a perfectly tame daily driver. Figure in a 15% drivetrain loss and you have a car with 1,055 horsepower and 1,150 ft-lbs of torque at the flywheel. Wow! A true showing of the capabilities of both the ADM craftsmen and the LS engine.
