Air Flow Research (AFR) has always been known for its top-tier cylinder heads that work with a variety of applications. Well, AFR is now jumping into the camshaft world and has announced a new line of custom camshafts engineered specifically for the iconic small-block Chevy platform.
These new camshaft profiles are designed to maximize the airflow potential of AFR’s popular Eliminator CNC and Enforcer As-Cast cylinder heads, delivering proven, race-ready power in an easy drop-in format. Developed in collaboration with Andrews Products—an industry leader in camshaft technology known for their championship-proven designs—this new offering underscores AFR’s commitment to helping enthusiasts get the most out of their engine builds.
The AFR camshafts are dyno-developed to eliminate guesswork and ensure consistent performance across a wide range of applications, from street-driven restorations to custom crate engines and serious race cars. They are fully compatible with both carbureted and EFI systems and integrate seamlessly with AFR’s Top End Kits, making component selection and installation straightforward.
By optimizing valve timing to match AFR’s airflow characteristics, the camshafts help unlock additional horsepower and torque, further solidifying AFR’s position as a one-stop solution for small-block Chevy performance. AFR currently offers the camshafts in a Stage 1 and Stage 2 configuration. Each offers a different camshaft profile that will work with various engine combinations. The cams are also made in the USA.
Whether you’re building a weekend cruiser or a competition-ready machine, AFR’s new camshafts provide a tested and proven advantage. You can learn more about the cams right here on the AFR website.
